We stayed for one night in a junior suite as we were 2 adults and a child. Room was large and comfortable. The hotel is very child friendly, and they offer small perks for children like cookies and milk at bedtime, and free juice cocktails at the bar. Hotel dining and service was faultless. We made full use of the Spa services and found the experience very enjoyable.

The hotel is a 5-star hotel so they ensure that everything is first class with very little to complain about. The room was large and extremely clean. If I had one complaint is that there wasn't a fridge in the room to keep water and beverages cool and this could be a problem on hot days. I had to adjust the room temperature on the 1st day as it was cold externally.

Beautiful hotel and facilities. Room a little on the small side which given the cost, was disappointing.

Comfy bed, liked real linen. Good breakfast. But, it really is faded. Decor, but also furnishings. Seat 'gone' in armchair in room, tired furniture small in the space, curtain pull didn't close, leaving gap and early morning light. Definitely didn't feel '5 star'.

The Staff are excellent with nothing being too much trouble & everyone is very friendly. The indoor pool was perfect, the food was very tasty. The property was as expected a little dated of course but normal for this lovely type of grand old famous hotel. Location is spot on. The weather brilliant & Sunny even in February as Eastbourne always delivers for us so we loved the stay.

I came across the Grand on a business trip and wanted to thank you for a great stay. The rooms are a little tired, but I could see there was work happening to improve this. What makes this place is the staff. They are extremely friendly, professional and a credit to the Grand. The concierge (sorry I didn't get his name) was very helpful. I have to also thank the restaurant and bar staff. The food was excellent and a big thank you to Keri, the assistant manager of the restaurant. Fabulous service and very knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. You are a credit to your hotel and I will definitely revisit. Thank you Grand!

Spotlessly clean, lovely old hotel with bygone charm. My only complaint is that the room was a bit small. Very comfortable bed and excellent pillows.

Sorry grand back for the first time since COVID and your standards have dropped a bit. Watching a less abled person trying to struggle up the stairs with a walking frame and having to find a member of staff to help is not good for a five star hotel. Slopped entrance was looked... no offer of news paper anymore and no one explained to us that the breakfast setup had changed.. ummm.. spa pool area is looking very shabby and really needs a coat of paint... Still we love this hotel and hope these issues are work in progress. Also on a note appears you can just walk straight into the pool and spa area without anyone asking if you are staying at the hotel or have even paid to use the facilities... This is a concern that needs urgent attention... Another note we had been out for a walk and came back to chill in the lounge and every seat/table was reserved for afternoon tea... Not a single seat to relax in....

Great hotel, superb service, drinks at the bar are extortionate (£20 for a gin & tonic and an orange juice), food is excellent

Wonderful old world charm close to the beach at Eastbourne, this five star hotel is a magnificent Edwardian building. Staff and service is seamless and the standard of catering very high.

It’s a nice hotel. Staff are friendly and overall we had a nice stay. Lots of nice armchairs to sit around in and there’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Dinner and breakfast is fine. Enjoyable but not memorable and would give it a 3/5. The bar is nice and the staff were friendly there too. The room was nice but it would be good to have a fridge. I don’t understand how it has 5 stars but the room rate was reflective of the stay I think. We got a winter deal which made it reasonable overall. £16 for a cocktail was a lot higher than London prices. The pool area needs some renovation too. I cut myself on a ragged tile in the pool itself.
I’m giving it a 4 because overall it was a lovely stay.

We tour spas as a hobby. The spa days here are great, treatments feel amazing. Can't wait to book again. Afternoon tea was delicious and we wanted for nothing thanks to the incredibly helpful staff. The spa itself looks a little dated in places but overall the experience was worthy of the 5*'s

Cannot rate rooms as we were there for afternoon tea. The location is amazing, the lounges, restaurant and other seating areas are gorgeous, spacious and well maintained. The staff were fantastic. Very presentable, polite, Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Afternoon tea was gorgeous. A nice selection of high quality food that was well presented. Felt very relaxed, never rushed, but staff were always on hand to refresh drinks and tidy. It was a treat afternoon that has certainly made us want to go again and look at staying and making the most of other services available. The small shops on site had some great items on display that were very reasonable in price. Staff again happy to help get anything for you to try. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit.

The hotel is lovely but quite dated. Food is absolutely delicious and staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Beds were very comfortable with delightful pillows and soft bedding. We used the spa facilities, which also require a little TLC, especially the hot tub which jets didn't work properly. The outdoor pool looks absolutely stunning with leafy surroundings but it was to cold to take a dive. Altogether a lovely and relaxing stay after a hike from Brighton to Eastbourne!

Lovely location. Lounge was excellent with nice view. Food was okay. Unfortunately, I had the Grand burger and French Fries. The burger was heavily spiced and undercooked and the fries very heavily salted. Not the best and not as you would expect at a hotel of this standard. The soup was excellent and the afternoon tea was fine. So meal wise a bit hit and miss.

My mother and I had a wonderful time at The Grand. We enjoyed the band on Friday and Saturday along with the dancing. Cocktails were lovely. Breakfast was amazing, with such a wide selection to choose from. Room was perfect and we had a sea view.

Had afternoon tea for a birthday celebration and it was lovely. Amazing service and beautiful surroundings. Some would say dated, but I'd like to call the hotel interiors faded grandeur!
Beautiful cakes and sandwiches and glass of bubbly, just shy of £50 per person, inclusive of service charge.
Worth it!
