We had a great stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff were all warm and welcoming. Dinner was really lovely. Breakfast was very relaxed with a wonderful choice. The leisure facilities were very good. The wine list was very impressive but we did feel that it was a little overpriced.

This is now my 4th or 5th stay at The Grand there is no other place I like to stay then here. The staff are fantastic, the hotel is fab, the food is amazing, the spa is so relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to all. Even though it was out of season the staff were so attentive. Thank you for yet another great stay.

From the moment we arrived I knew that we would enjoy our three day trip. Great and efficient welcome. The hotel has an old world charm and beauty that really appeals to us. Our room at the front of the hotel overlooking the sea with a large balcony was extremely comfortable (if not a little dated) soon to be refurbished I understand. We dined twice in the Garden Restaurant and on both occasions the food was first class as was the service. The Mirabelle Restaurant was closed for decorating but hope to visit next time in August. Breakfast was a truly scrumptious experience with everything you could possibly require. I particularly enjoyed the good assortment of speciality teas. All that with a great location and good parking. Thank you The Grand Eastbourne.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Exceptional service from all of the staff. Good Spa facilities that were very welcoming on a wet and windy day! Lots of space and relaxing cubby holes to hide away and relax in tranquil surroundings.

Wonderful stay, quality and tradition in abundance, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Good sized rooms with quality bathroom products, a peaceful getaway from it all, highly recommend the dining rooms for breakfast and dinner.

Have been to The Grand a few times in the last year usually in The Mirabell Restuarant, our last visit on Saturday was to The Garden Restaurant. It was superb in all respects, from our reception on arrival, to when we left, the service was excellent. Food was as expected, fine dining, and not that expensive when you consider the wonderful venue.
We plan to go again when we are back from holiday.

Very enjoyable birthday weekend. The hotel is a very impressive building and the public areas are very welcoming but guest rooms are a bit tired. All staff are friendly and helpful with good old fashioned 5 star customer service. Menus are good and the food quality is first class.

This hotel offers high standard. Excellent sea view. Very good restaurant with, however, the staff can be more friendly.
The hotel offers spa, and has a large swimming pool. A terrasse close to the pool and a terrasse restaurant is also an advantage.

This is a top rate hotel with all the grandeur of what a 5 start hotel should be. The staff were all fantastic and if I could remember the name of one particular receptionist that helped us I would single her out but they were all great. I was very unwell during my stay after recent surgery and the receptionist went out of their way to get me bags of vacuumed ice to my room. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to use the swimming pool but hopefully will be back again in February for another visit. The winter warmer package is fabulous and an ideal opportunity for people that perhaps would otherwise not be able to afford the stay, to experience the luxury of such a top quality hotel.
I am unable to single out an individual during my stay but I can definitely single out Tania from the housekeeping team who found my brand new Apple Pencil and case that I left behind. I contacted the hotel on the off chance that it might still be there and it is, hopefully I will be reunited with it later today. Tania honesty and integrity, still gives me hope for an otherwise broken world that we live in and goes to show that there are still some genuinely sincere people about. I will be forever grateful especially as it was,a,Christmas gift. Food in the garden restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. Can highly recommend.

We were lucky enough to be treated to an overnight stay with dinner at The Grand to meet up with family. On arrival we were greeted with such warmth and friendliness by all of the front of house staff. They chatted to us with interest, helped us with our luggage and helped us locate a parking space.
Our room was spacious and well equipped with every need from toiletries, slippers, robes, bottled water to a nespresso coffee machine. The jacuzzi bath was an added bonus!
At dinner we were made to feel extra special, from our greeting at the Garden restaurant to the quality and service received during the evening meal. We were able to eat and socialise at our leisure without feeling rushed even though the restaurant was busy.
We used the gym and spa on the Sunday morning and luckily for us early risers it opened at 7am! The gym it well equipped albeit a little small (and warm) and the pool and steam room were clean and fresh.
The only downside we had was that the key cards deactivated twice during our stay causing us a problem in having to reactivate them at reception (despite being kept away from our phones etc). We also found that the lighting in the room could’ve been brighter for getting ready for the evening .. there were no ceiling lights, only lamps.
We will definitely return as we were made to feel valued and enjoyed the food and service given xx

Lovely weekend in a beautiful hotel. Treated with such politeness and courtesy .. health club facilities and staff lovely.. we had room service which was pretty pricey but very nice. Not keen on the breakfast buffet as hot food lukewarm at best. Good selection of pastries though.
Always a pleasure to stay here, sadly we’re disturbed a bit during night by noisey people but that was a one off.
Will be back for sure.

We have been to the grand many times over many years and this was the most disappointing. Given room 218. The bed was only 4'6" and really wobbly. Questioned this at reception and they have it as a king. No way. Was then given room 326. Room was old, cold and inland view was of a dirty courtyard and huge extraction pipe from kitchen. £165 for a night in this room is so overpriced. Staff are kind and attentive. But front desk this time we're unhelpful in understanding.
After 20 years our love affair with the grand is over.
Avoid room 326 like the plague.

We came here on a Saturday evening. Service was amazing and food was gorgeous, lots of choice and beautifully cooked. Good value for money and lovely surroundings in the garden restaurant. They catered for my allergy in detail and with utmost care. I will be back.

Beautiful, large hotel with history and perfect seafront location. All the staff were extremely professional and friendly. The food was amazing and even though it was January and low season you could still have a cooked breakfast of your choice. We loved walking along the many paths of the seafront and enjoyed the cold but sunny days. The seafront had hundreds of benches perfect for resting and watching the sea.

We had a 2 night stay and cannot understand any negative reviews of this hotel.
From the moment we arrived until we left we felt at at home and at ease. There was always plenty of staff to meet any requests and in a friendly manner. The dining room was lovely and the meal was excellent. Our room was large with comfortable beds. This is not in any way a modern hotel but if you want first class service and a feelgood factor then you have to exoerience this place. Our only sad bit was coming home. We are already plannng a Christmas package.

This hotel is magic. If you’ve ever wondered what luxury hotels were like at the turn of the century, stay here. It is such an impressive building inside and out. The rooms are great, with really high ceilings. The staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. I recommend ordering a hot chocolate and sitting by the fire in the lobby. The Christmas decorations were nothing short of spectacular!

Stayed here for one night over the weekend to celebrate a big birthday. This is a traditional hotel so not really for those who like modern boutique hotels (imho).

But we loved it. Fantastic service - old school; polite and attentive but not in your face. Although it is old it doesn't come across as tired. Gym small but worked for me. Fabulous location, right next to seafront and a short walk to town and pier (c half a mile).

We also really like all the lounge space - lots of seating on the ground floor so you can sit and relax, chat, have afternoon tea, drink coffee etc. Our tea arrived with little cupcakes - all very nice. Also a large fire (gas!) which is in the high vaulted lobby area overlooked by balconies - very grand - but seems to get booked up for afternoon tea very quickly.

Dinner and breakfast were both very good indeed - no complaints at all - other than a very disappointed brother when they'd run out of Cloudy Bay...life goes on! A bit pricey but it didn't feel expensive given the quality.

As always an excellent time spent at an excellent hotel. From the moment of arriving to departing nothing is too much trouble.
Service level is unbelievable but done in a very discreet way.
Food is always of the highest standard.
Money well spent
