We enjoyed our stay at The Grand particularly the leisure facilities (including the outdoor pool ). Would be more than happy to plan a return visit.

If you want modern, brash and fawning this is not for you. This is old fashioned understated service in a typically British hotel. It is a bit of a time warp. By the time we got out of the car our bags had been whisked inside the hotel by the uniformed concierge. The atmosphere inside is old fashioned decor with great service by all the staff. Facilities are good - pool, spa, gym, etc. lots of lounges. Best of all no noise in the public spaces. No one on their phone at breakfast, no background music, no endless " how was your meal, day? etc." only down side is abysmal wifi in rooms and public areas This is supposed to be a 5* hotel. Recommended if you want a total unwind as we did.

A great stay once again. Been coming now for a number of years and will be back next year. Super food. Relaxing atmosphere and great staff. Got upgraded for free. Drinks are London prices but this is a 5 star hotel.

The location is great and the hotel is very clean and presentable with a really nice pool. The service for drink and food isn't great and we were kept waiting quite a while, as we were with our rooms being ready.

This is a great hotel , and it is brilliant for family. The Kids club has been improved and bot our kids aged 7 loved it. The rooms are a great size and the staff are brilliant. The outdoor pool is a great asset and if its raining they also have an indoor one. My only criticism would be breakfast is its very average, and they could benefit from having another restaurant that is less formal with a more relaxed menu.
I would definitely go again, its not cheap but has the benefit of being very relaxing.

Had a lovely two night stay at the end of May. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate at both the restaurants for dinner and the food was excellent. Eastbourne is a great place to visit and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Walked up to Beachy head, which was definitely worth doing. Would love to stay at the Grand again in the future.

3 of us spent the day at The Grand, Eastbourne for a Spa day. The day cost £55 and was worth every penny. We spent the day relaxing by the pool with magazines we had a really nice light lunch and each of us had a pamper session . The staff were incredibly professional and made us feel like we were the only people in the spa that day. I would highly recommend this day to anyone

As before, we very much enjoyed our stay at The Grand. We had a spacious and comfortable room and relished a flavoursome dinner (preceded by enlivening cocktails) and a hearty breakfast. All the staff were courteous, professional and friendly. Another great experience at The Grand!

Lovely hotel - comfy bed. Stunning hotel through out.

Service impeccable and very English.

Music and dancing at night - mainly for the over 70s but it was a lovely atmosphere even for us 49ers!!!

We were able to park right in front without reservation but we did go out of season and in snow!!!!

Would definitely stay there again.

The room and service was fine but very disappointed both with the room service menu and the quality. Sandwiches were very small and poorly filled. On my last night my dinner was cut short by a fire emergency and evacuation and there was no attempt to compensate for a half eaten meal. Also I was surprised that Sky T/V wasn’t available. Since my last visit the standard of food has gone down and the prices up.

We had an excellent stay. Room was very comfortable and clean, amenities great including the pools. We only used the inside one as we were there with our 1.5 year old daughter.

Our first visit. Staff excellent, polite, pleasant, welcoming and always friendly. Restaurant food to a very high standard. Hotel is not new but mainly in a good state. Some attention required to paintwork and fittings but still a great experience. Double bed rather small in our deluxe room but that did not detract from a wonderful experience. Not cheap but we felt it well worth the money. We will be back again.

Hotel made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Our two night stay was most enjoyable and would go again. Would recommend to anyone looking for a rest and to be spoilt. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa.

Fantastic 5* Hotel in a perfect beach front location. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave you will receive first class service that is reminiscent of a bygone era. The Garden Restaurant serves excellent food with excellent service in a pleasant atmosphere. Both the indoor & outddor swimming pools are heated. The indoor pool has 'Roman steps' for easy entry which suited my disabled wife. Pleasant deluxe room, facing inland, but was very hot with only 1 window that opened a little. A portable fan was supplied though. All-in-all a great stay & we will return!

Although a little dearer than we normally pay, worth every penny and we will definitely visit again.
Service was the most outstanding of all. From the second we got there till the second we left, not a
bad word could be said which includes our family of four of our children with their partners and five
of our grandchildren.

Treated as Royalty from start to finish. Nothing was too much. The staff were all amazing. First class customer service from the time you drive in until you drive out. I would definitely go back and recommend to everyone. Truly a Royal birthday treat.

Ok for small kids - not great informal dining facilities unless you want room service. Lovely heated outdoor pool. Needs to split areas between the older generation and young families to be more suitable

One of the world’s great hotels. Loved it - opulence, indulgence, superb facilities and the best hotel staff I have encountered. Mirabelle food fabulous as was PalmCourt tea and concert. Two criticisms (but minor). First breakfast bit tired and 3 star. Second please think of replacing naff repro oli paintings with decent pics (lovely original water colours in our bedroom). But a great hotel and look forward to returning

Our arrival time was not until 3:00pm but reception staff agreed we could use the Spa and Pools available. Outside heated pool was wonderful with sun loungers and lots of space but sadly it was just too cold to stay outdoors.. We went to the indoor pool which was lovely and warm and changing room facilities good. Sadly Jacuzzi wasn’t working but was still lovely and hot. Could not fault food in the Mirabelle restaurant which has been refurbished recently. A good mix of old and young people alike having a wonderful time. Room was lovely, can’t wait to return.

We took a spa and meals package and went there for a long weekend. The hotel is a very well maintained huge and old style building facing the beach. Service and spa treatments are all great. The only regret is the food in the hotel. The Garden restaurant is beautifully decorated and serving staffs there are perfect, but the three courses diner were disappointing for the price. The breakfast was very basic, lack of choice for a luxurious hotel like the Grand.

Our stay for 3 nights was, as on previous stays, excellent. Our room was lovely with sea view and plenty of space. Molton Brown toiletries, Nespresso machine and bottles of water in room much appreciated. Food and service in Garden restaurant excellent.
