Stayed for 1 night which included evening meal and breakfast. Food out of this world. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Intend to make this an annual event with my wife and our other friends who are members of the Elite Hotel Group Club.

Outstanding service, very friendly to our little kids, a lovely bath-like indoor pool that the kids adored, solid though not exceptional food, and incredibly grand, elegant rooms. Decor a little old-fashioned and tired and could do with a few of those extra luxurious comfort touches that would put it into the league of the big-hitter 5* hotels globally.

Another great night in the Grand - dip in the outside pool, fab cocktail in the lounge, super meal in the Mirabelle, good nights sleep and room service breakfast looking out at the English Channel. What could be better.

Table d'hote menu poor in selection. We had a Ground Floor Suite but it was only a large ensuite room with space for a 2-seater sofa and 2 armchairs. Public areas very impressive
Outside Pool area dirty. Trees overhanging sunbed area need cutting back and paving and sunbeds need jet washing every morning. Very expensive, not good value.

There is nowhere quite like the Grand on the English coast. Rooms are large and comfortable, even if the bed in our room was a bit soft and probably needing replacement. Outstanding staff, especially front of house and doormen/porters.

Nice hotel in good location and friendly staff but snag is the rather limited dining option, food choice and taste below standards for a 5 star hotel. It woukd be good for the hotel to improve the choice of food in the menu for both restaurants plus for a 5 syar hotrl the management need to make both restaurants available all the time

If you look for a trip in a timemachine to the great days of palace hotels in this most agreeable bathing reasort that is Eastbourne, don't look any further. Excellent service, a comfortable room with a splendid seaview and a large outdoor swimming pool.

This is a shining gem in the premier location in superb Eastbourne. The hotel promises beauty, grace, splendour in a fantastic setting and it delivers it in spades. The hotel is immaculate, the rooms beautiful and the facilities are wonderful. On top of this the staff are supremely knowledgeable of all aspects of the hotel and they help you with any and every query that you may have. Supreme service is offered by all who work there.

Our room was booked as a party of 5 rooms, but it was not booked correctly as only the primary room had the meals included with them. They didn't book the other 4 rooms under this package which resulted in very very high meal costs.

A great weekend. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good food and a great location.
Spa facilities were 10/10. Nothing was too much bother to all the staff that we delt with. From finding me a good place to park my car to finding me slots for spa treatments 😎

A wonderful stay for my sisters birthday. The service from the staff was exceptional, the quality of the breakfast was great and everything was spotlessly clean. A fab location too. The only development area is that the spa/indoor pool in our opinion is looking quite tired and in need of some work. Hotel was lovely though and we would go back again. Will save pennies for a balcony sea view room next time!!

We really enjoyed the olde world courtesy and comfort of a lovely hotel. The staff were naturally charming and accommodating and the service at dinner was first class. A lovely experience and one we intend to repeat . This was a classy hotel that was dog and child- friendly and had a relaxed atmosphere

Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly. Facilities and atmosphere were brilliant. Food was gorgeous. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Location was ideal, away from the town but close enough for a few minutes walk.

My pre-teen daughter and I have just returned from a one-night stay at The Grand. It’s a stunning building and has some great facilities. Check in was very welcoming, down to the birthday card and welcome pack for my daughter. We arranged to be in one of the newly refurbished rooms, which, although fairly small, was ideal for an overnight stay. The room was though, a little on the warm side, but that reflected the weather at the time which enabled us to make use of the lovely outdoor pool on Saturday afternoon and again for a few hours on Sunday, following our treatments in the health club. The treatments were nice and well priced, although I feel the health club needs to be refurbished, as do some of the main areas of the hotel. Despite these relatively minor, and very personal views, our overwhelming feeling was that we we had a fantastic break and were looked after very well. The staff were all very attentive, achieving a nice balance of being there when you needed them and not dominating, as well as being friendly and down to earth. The icing on this ‘wedding cake’ was watching the band play in the bar (after returning from dinner in the town), where a small number of guests and non-residents were cha cha’ing away on Saturday night. This was a great experience of old style glamour and hospitality; we will be back, thank you.

We got a parking space with are name on for to use when needed. It was very nice before we went up stairs. The lift needing up grading and smelt. the hall on the 2 ed floor needing upgrading and the bedroom was very small and shabby. We had asked for single beds but they say if you book a twin room you get a double bed. I would not stop in that room also the two nights with dinner was costing £710.00 We could have an upgrade to sea front with twin beds and that would cost £250.00 extra. As it was my wife Birthday I agreed. Looking around the room no locks on the windows bath room needing new shower no fridge and the paint work needing up grading.
Next day I seen a manger and he said he would look in two my booking. The food was very nice nice but I think a buffy breakfast is not four a five star hotel.. On booking out the extra cost was on the bill so I seen the manger and after a long chat they remove £100.00 off my bill. For the two nights the cost was then £810.00 with out drinks. We have now been and lots two Remmber thank you all.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Superb location, wonderful surroundings and unobtrusive but highly attentive and polite staff. if you haven't stayed here then you have missed out. Not the cheapest but worth every penny and besides, where else can you find a hotel with such a history and Palm Court Orchestra?

It is always a pleasure to visit the Grand Hotel. If just for a meal. spa treatment or use of Spa To stay is a perfect break. Most of the Staff have been there so long and always remember you which makes it all very personal.

The bedrooms of a good standard and always have everything you need for your stay or you only have to ask.
Love the spa Chris the Manager is a gentleman and always will come and have a word with you .
Treatments are good and enjoyable. a lovely atmosphere in the surroundings which you need to relax.

Enjoy sitting in the bar before dinner and always enjoy our meals .a good variety for all tastes

The location was excellent, service and comfort outstanding and the accommodation sheer luxury. My few days at The Grand were sheer bliss. From our arrival at the hotel, reception welcome, service both in the hotel and all the facilities available eg Spa, we felt like royalty! Our sumptuous meals and large beautiful sea facing suite was a luxurious treat! I would highly recommend, if you are looking for a “ real treat” book yourself into The Grand in Eastbourne.

Helpful welcome.Expensive one night bed and breakfast and evening meal.....£264.
Room on side of building, overlooking the street.Bed small and so so soft I had to have a board to strengthen. Bedding however excellent..Furniture dated and need of attention.
Meal in the Garden restaurant was very poor and certainly not 5 star standard. Breakfast was very good and service much improved.
Position of the hotel was excellent and overlooked the sea.

This 5-star hotel boasts some amazing architecture and superb staff. The food was excellent and the service likewise. It may not be cheap but it does present very good value for money. Although our stay was short, it was memorable for all the right reasons.

Why would I choose to return to the Grand Hotel at Eastbourne rather than fly to Europe for a couple of days? I don't like the idea of queueing at the airport nor all the hustle and bustle that goes with it - I prefer something altogether most sedate. The Grand feels like home... it is friendly and welcoming and the food is superb. All the staff are exceptional, the rooms are grand and there's the view to die for - the Grand is truly a grand hotel.

The WiFi is suck. Nothing surprise at The Garden Restaurant. The bar area sofa is old and with stains. There’s a false alarm happened. Everyone came out to Carpark area under windy. Then just said sorry. No compensation. This case happened in brighton or London usually the hotel will offer something. At least a drink!
