Another great stay at the Grand in Eastbourne. The only slight issue was the breakfast on the first day. The orders came wrong and late. We spoke to the manager about our experience and he took it off the bill which was appreciated.

Though it was a beautiful hotel I don’t feel it rated 5 star. My room didn’t even have a bar fridge in it. I had to ask for one. Although it was lovely having a bath & shower it would have been difficult to get in & out as it had no grab bars. Various other small things brought it down. Staff were lovely so maybe a 4 star plus.

The room was a bit cold. The hotel needed some TLC. The staff were lovely and the Health Club was great.

This is an old fashioned, classy hotel with high levels of service. A treat to stay there. The rooms are not air-conditioned but there is an effective tower cooler instead.

Down side is the very high bar prices. I paid three times what I would have expected to pay in a pub so didn't indulge in any further drinks.

Generally a lovely stay and would recommend but a few easily fixable issues.
At breakfast had to wait for ages to be seated- there were plenty of waiters/ waitresses however they apparently couldn’t tick us off and show us to a table and the couple of people that could were often not there- needs changing.
Also no mini fridge in room- we take lacto free milk which we would have liked in the room but no facility for this. Also nice to keep water cool.
Other than that a great weekend away!

The Grand Eastbourne is indeed Grand, impressive and located in the seafront which is convenient.
As you enter it feels luxurious but it is tired with paint flaking off and carpets coming of the sides.
The pool is small and we could see water damage in the ceiling tiles and overall the area didn’t feel very premium.

The room we had was ok but it felt more like a 4 star rather than 5.

Breakfast was very disappointing.
Cheap sausages and bacon served warm and warmed up rather than cooked fresh.Cold beans and uncooked black pudding.
Toast never turned up and table only got cleared when we asked.
This was the first trip with my wife for the past 2 years as we had managed to leave the kids with a family member.

We stayed for one night in a junior suite as we were 2 adults and a child. Room was large and comfortable. The hotel is very child friendly, and they offer small perks for children like cookies and milk at bedtime, and free juice cocktails at the bar. Hotel dining and service was faultless. We made full use of the Spa services and found the experience very enjoyable.

The hotel is a 5-star hotel so they ensure that everything is first class with very little to complain about. The room was large and extremely clean. If I had one complaint is that there wasn't a fridge in the room to keep water and beverages cool and this could be a problem on hot days. I had to adjust the room temperature on the 1st day as it was cold externally.

Beautiful hotel and facilities. Room a little on the small side which given the cost, was disappointing.

Comfy bed, liked real linen. Good breakfast. But, it really is faded. Decor, but also furnishings. Seat 'gone' in armchair in room, tired furniture small in the space, curtain pull didn't close, leaving gap and early morning light. Definitely didn't feel '5 star'.
