Just had another few days at the Grand. Service & staff are always first class. Our room had been updated & was tastefully done. The food in the Mirabelle & the Garden restaurant were excellent. Check in & check out were seamless.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left 8 days later, we received 100% attention from the super staff at this hotel when ever we needed it, they show so much attention to detail. It was a pleasure to stay in a hotel with so much character. Who wants brand spanking new soleless plastic carpet that is changed every year? We had numerous snacks in the lounges, sumptuos breakfasts and an excellent Sunday lunch. Very impressed by the speedy room service. One very small disappointment though. It was our Diamond Wedding Anniversary so our daughter had flowers sent to us on the day. Somehow our do not disturb was on our door ( certainly our fault) and the flowers could not be delivered. Only one attempt was made to make the delivery which we thought was a bit of a shame a second attempt may have achieved a result. We spent about 3 hours in the Chatsworth that afternoon. It might be a good idea if a note was posted under the door to let guests know that they need to be contacted, that is what Room service did on a couple of occasions. Overall a brilliant holiday for us. Thank you The Grand Eastbourne.

Lovely hotel and location. Bedroom was a little small.

They don’t do breakfast in your room very well and for an Edwardian 5 star the window treatments and carpets in our room (233) looked a little strange like something my granny bought in the 80’s. Should look a bit more sumptuous for well over £500 for two nights with breakfast.

On arriving at the hotel we were met by the very friendly hotel staff. And throughout our stay we were made very welcome. The dinner provided by the restaurant was the sum of its parts and was excellent. At the end of the meal you came away knowing you had experienced a meal of quality, which was served by the very excellent restaurant staff who were pleasantly attentive throughout the meal. The quality of the room we stayed in was very good. The décor was traditional and very comfortable and clean and had all the amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The architecture being Victorian with high ceilings was also very interesting. My wife especially appreciated the turn down service when we returned to our room in the evening to find it prepared for the night. The breakfast was a feast and would keep anyone going all day. If you want quality and you are prepared to pay a little extra for this service, without getting on a plane and going abroad, then this is the place to stay

The concierge, reception and other staff were exceptional in their manner and helpfulness. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.Thank you so much for making customer service the highest of priorities - sadly, it doesn't appear to be as common as it used to be.

A time capsule back to the days of grace and elegance, this Hotel transports you to times gone by. From the moment you arrive to have your bags whisked away and your car parked (free) the staff could not be more attentive and helpful. The rooms are large and the ceilings and bar prices high. Location on the front near the west prom is excellent. The three dinners were good on two evenings and very poor on one. It was disappointing that when we complained only apologies ensued, but no offer of compensation or an alternate selection. Potatoes were offered that were evidently left over and reheated from some distant occasion, vegetables soggy and an amuse bouche seemingly made from a household disinfectant. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of offerings. The grounds are graced with a well heated pool and a fine indoor pool and spar is also available. On our visit only one lift was working which lead to some beneficial stair climbing and descending. All this comes at a price but overall was worth it and we would definitely revisit.

we have stayed many times before but this was our first trip with our dog (a well behaved cockerpoo) staff as always couldn't be more helpful despite the hotel being very busy. A beautiful suite awaited us along with excellent service

We have just returned from a weekend at this marvellous hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like royalty, nothing was too much to ask for. The room is was great, the food was excellent and the decor and history that surrounds this iconic hotel was elegant. A true step back in time when the customer was the most important person to the staff and the hotel.

Well done Elite hotels

Relaxing and pleasant environment close to the seafront for gentle walks along the promenade. Staff were pleasant and courteous and service was excellent. Upgraded room was spacious and clean with plenty of light.

We arrived and there was some commotion going on with members of public who were trying to find their hotel. The staff handle it brilliant and kept their cool, although the people were very load.On arriving in our room, we were very disappointed with the location and the noise from the extractor fans. On calling reception Sarah the manager, kindly moved us and upgraded us as we had just been married. All the staff were lovely and friendly, the outdoor pool was fantastic, but the spa facilities were below standards. The steam room needs much attention followed by the non-existing bubbles in the jacuzzi. The best way to describe this hotel is like being on the Titanic very traditional/ old school.

Every bit as comfortable as we’ve come to expect. Nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff. Great dinner , lovely breakfast and a very good nights sleep in THE most luxurious bed, what more could one ask for?

This hotel is aptly named, it is truly 'grand' from the minute you walk through the door, everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly and our suite was beautifully furnished with everything you might need to enjoy a luxury break. Nothing we requested was too much trouble and all our expectations were exceeded. The spa treatments were very good and the lady who did my facial was an absolute star and absolutely full of knowledge and tips for anything to do with beauty.

What fabulous service and fabulous staff! Any niggles are swiftly and easily resolved and nothing is too much trouble for well trained and very smartly turned out staff. Some rooms are better than others but that's more a reflection off a 19th century building than anything else. Full of character and a wine list to suit the most critical palate. Second visit and it just gets better. Want to relax? Then stay here!!!!

The hotel is beautiful and offers everything you need for a romantic break. The spa and treatments are amazing. Two lovely pools and very friendly staff. The evening meal was a little disappointing and the waiting time for service was poor. Overall although expensive a great hotel experience.

Myself and a friend had a 1 night spa break and it was incredible from start to finish. The staff in all departments were well presented, polite and friendly. The rooms were well equipped and very comfortable. We had a light lunch and a evening meal in the garden restaurant and it was all out of this world. There was the lovely addition of a piano playing while dining. Breakfast was also amazing, huge selection and the option to have it in your room for a small charge which we chose. The spa facilities were good. We had a facial and Turkish salt scrub inclufedin our package and we also paid to have a full body massage and the treatments were all fantastic. Needless to say we will be back for another child free spa break.

We came here as an early anniversary time away, from start to finish (well, not quite finished yet) it's been a lovely experience. Before we arrived I worried about what the parking would be like as I was aware of the positioning and questionable parking around the area. When we arrived in the car park it was a very pleasant (if somewhat surreal) experience in that there was a valet who parked up our car for us. I was later made aware that they have have spaces pre determined before you arrive. There was bit of a wait at the reception for our room to become available (after the 3pm check-in time) however she was very apologetic about the situation. We had a gentleman show us up to the room while also explaining where the other areas were...we still managed to get lost in this place. The room is spacious with a good sized bed and fully fitted bathroom with all the amenities you'd expect. The only downside and negative thing I have is the mattress, I'm not a fan of soft mattresses however this is personal preference! The breakfast was lovely, they have a really good mix of traditional and continental, with fresh toast, tea and coffee to order (along with other parts that aren't readily available).
We've used the inside pool which is a fair size, it can get busy however the type of pool area it is means it turns around quite quickly. The outside pool is heated however we've not had a chance to use it.

The hotel itself is within touching distance of the seafront and about a 10 minute walk from the main center. It's a lovely walk along the seafront which you can obviously walk along the entire stretch if you so do wish.
We will realistically return here at some point however it will be when we have the luxury of not having our kid with us again! Haha.

Fabulous service from start to finish. Hotel is beautifully kept & clean. Extra touches to welcome you. Staff attentive without being over powering. Situated in the most amazing location, on the front near walkway in Eastbourne, wonderful views.

My friend and I visit once a year (work and family commitments make it impossible to do so more often). When you step foot into the Grande Hotel you are immediately made to feel welcome. The concierge greeting you with a smile taking your case, the receptionist checking you in, even the maids cleaning as you walk around, all staff greet you with a smile and welcome.
The food and drinks are out of this world. The Gluten Free options were delicious and nothing was too much trouble.
Afternoon tea is a delicious treat and well worth having, book
In advance so you don’t miss out.
The spa offers treatments, gym facilities, and an outside or indoor pool. I can recommend the grande facial, it left my skin soft and glowing.
If you get the opportunity to stay here please take it. Worth every penny and more. We will be back next year.

... which is what the Wife and I decided to do this past Friday. We stayed overnight and had a wonderful time of things. Supper was excellent (as all food is from the Garden Restaurant). This is one of the reasons we come time and again. If I had any criticism at all, it would be the bed being a little softer than I'd have ideally preferred, but then, if that's my only criticism it's not much, is it?Fantastic Breakfast and the staff were courteous to a fault all throughout our stay. We will be back!

Came here for afternoon tea,was a gift for our silver wedding, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the afternoon tea was nice, although the cakes weren't great and I'm not sure the scones were homemade, the thing that disappointed me was how tired and shabby the hotel is. I've always wanted to come to this hotel as it looks so grand from the outside but the lounge we sat in needs redecoration and the toilets, although very clean and amazing toiletries, had ripped wallpaper. I just expected something a bit grander. It was still a nice experience just not as grand as I had imagined.
