Visiting a friend in Eastbourne when we popped into this cafe which is clearly well supported by the local community. Dog friendly and very reasonably priced hot drinks.

We had an excellent dinner at Skylark. Atmosphere and service were friendly and well-paced, and they served up interesting, well-presented dishes with creative flavour combinations that worked really well together. As a starter, the jackfruit taco with pico de gallo, pickled red cabbage, refried black beans and lime/cilantro dressing was brilliant. The flavours and textures in the caramelised fresh figs with pistachio cream, blackberry honey, honey and a sprinkling of crushed pistachios was exquisitely flavourful and textured. As a main, the duo of local wild pheasant was something we don't find everywhere, and again it was prepared in way that was tasty without being oversalted or heavy. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely go again!

Always an amazing experience here; from the friendly personal and attentive service (made to feel like a regular after 3 visits) to the most incredible food; beautifully made and presented. So many different and perfect tastes. Order wisely to avoid food envy (my partner picks the best brunch!). Finally, the nicest tastiest coffees and cocktails (it’s 5pm somewhere!) I’ve tasted. Check this place out, but make sure you book!!

Fantastic restaurant for breakfast. The pancake is awesome. We been there 3 times but they treated us like VIP and knows us so well. Great service, they do best! 👍👏👏. I recommend to book in advance as they are busy for breakfast. Absolutely without any doubt I recommend this restaurant to try their best Pancakes 🥞.

My wife and I went for a rare evening out (we have young kids so don't get out much) to celebrate my birthday. It was a great evening. The food was superb and the service excellent. The food is of high quality and the service punctual and friendly. It's a small place so probably best to book in advance. We would happily go again next time we are in the area.
