We have friends visiting for the weekend and it made the perfect excuse to come back to this lovely restaurant for dinner last night.
We have had several take-away meals from here during lockdown but this was the first time we were able to enjoy our meal inside the restaurant and we weren't disappointed!We were warmly greeted and quickly shown to our table. Like normal the staff are friendly, helpful and extremely efficient.
The menu is extensive, catering to all tastes, and it took us quite a while to make our selection. The normal set menu isn't available on Friday and Saturday evenings so that meant we could avoid one of the pages!Our friends chose the lamb (Lombata di Agnello) and seabass (Branzino) whilst my husband had the veal escalope with spaghetti (Vitello) and I had the monkfish (Coda di Rospo). Everything was beautifully cooked, very tasty and large portions.
We all decided to have a dessert (didn't really need one but how could we refuse?) with the two men choosing the ice cream with espresso (Affogato) and a liqueur put over the top, and the ladies having the orange/chocolate tart (Torta al Cioccolato) and the Tiramisu. Again everyone was very pleased with their selections!The restaurant was very busy, even though we arrived at 5.30 pm for our booking, and there was a real buzz about the place. The staff were rushing here, there and everywhere serving the meals but were still friendly, helpful and smiling.
Our friends were very impressed with everything and have said next time they're visiting we will have to return to this restaurant again. Considering the quality of the food, the setting and service, it is very reasonably priced too.Just one word of caution: in order to avoid disappointment you should definitely book your table in advance.

Fantastic place to eat. We have been coming for a number of years and always recommend this restaurant. Really friendly staff and delicious food. Very well priced too.

We stopped here for dinner during a few nights away!
The menu was vast and covered anything you could want from an Italian restaurant.
The staff were constantly on the go and provided excellent service.
There was a set price menu with lots of options which was excellent value for money!
Would visit again!

A decent spot for classic italian dishes with some authenticity. great value and suitable for families and larger groups. friendly staff with average to nice food. cant go wrong with their prices.<br><br>Food 3/5 - I had the 3 course meal with the bruschetta, carbonara, and tiramisu as my choices. Bruschetta was nice, especially with the mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. nice presentation too! Pasta was average. Menu doesn't state cream as part of the dish so there is some level of authenticity with the carbonara sauce. it was of a nice consistency, coating very generous portion of pasta. a really good value! however, it tasted predominantly of cream, not allowing the cheese to shine through. tiramisu was average. a great spot for when you're hungry for a huge lunch after tanning on the beach - all at a great price.<br><br>Service 5/5 - really friendly staff! they were attentive to my needs and were incredibly polite. props to them! food came out quickly, although i was the sole diner at the time. excellent job guys.<br><br>Interior 4/5 - a bright, cheery spot. definitely child friendly too. suitable for larger groups too.<br><br>Covid Measures 4/5 - really good, with dividers between tables. staff wore face masks but pulled them down occasionally to chat.

Can't find fault staff welcoming food great prices fair Only problem we had their web site telephone number is not correct try 01323 733800 Just wish it were nearer so we could visit more often (our third time of eating there.) never been disappointed. Recommend you give it a try. Happy eating

Right next door to La Laconia Fel Duca and owned by same family. Excellent food, excellent, experienced and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble and will cater for the fussiest of people. I think they actually go the extra mile if someone has a special request or dietary requirement. Best Italian pizzeria I have been to..

Favoloso!!<br><br>I can't praise this place enough. We ate there twice during our stay in Eastbourne.<br>Great menu and attentive but not intrusive service. The team work together like a well oiled machine.<br>Very good pricing.<br><br>As a coeliac I felt very safe. They have a gluten free area on the menu but I was advised what else I could have off the full menu.<br>Also vegetarian and vegan options.<br><br>Very clean and adhering to covid requirements well. Screens in place.<br>For those driving there is parking on the street and also dedicated disabled bays nearby.<br>Not on the sea front but as the food was so good the scenery didn't matter.
