Just returned from a three night stay. A great hotel with extensive refurbishment. Great food served in their very comfortable restaurant. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. A lovely room overlooking the beach. Only a ten minute walk to the central shopping area of Eastbourne. Have already booked our next visit.

Just had a wonderful weekend at the Langham hotel in eastbourne. This is a nice clean and comfortable hotel, serving excellent food, never have I been in a hotel where the staff are as friendly and helpful as this, nothing was too much trouble, absolutely perfect start to Finnish.

This Hotel is wonderful! The Staff could not be more helpful, the food was delicious, the rooms are quite luxurious but overall the service is out-of-this-world. There is nothing too small or too big for them to help you with (even to returning my nightdress 1st class but at no charge!). One of the best Hotel's we have stayed in, and would thoroughly recommend a stay. We cannot wait to return!

We travelled to the above Hotel on a Majestic Tour and did not upgrade to a sea view.I believe the Hotel has recently been awarded a 4 Star. Our bedroom was clean but quite small, although with lots of storage space.I don't believe our room had been refurbished{214}.The room was quiet and well heated, towels were changed daily without asking.
All meals are waitress service and are of a good standard, especially the breakfast. However we felt the House wine at £15.25 per bottle was not good value for money.I believe car parking could be an issue as they have very little space as all hotels in the area.Evening entainment was very low key.Travelling with Majestic the Hotel and Tour were very good value for money.

We had an overnight stay at the Langham for a Masonic Ladies Festival recently. The staff at reception were incredibly attentive. We arrived much earlier than our room was due to be ready as we were meeting family - they happily took our baggage into storage, and directed us to the car park (alas, this was off site, and a bit of a walk - fine for me, but not perhaps for someone less sure-footed.

We had taken a cake along as it was our lads birthday, and they happily stored this in a refrigerator for us over night, and provided us with a knife and plates when we came to serve it the next day too.

The hotel itself has been tastefully decorated in an art deco style, and a good job made of it.

Our room was clean and spacious, even with a couple of Z beds in for our boys. We also had a sea view, which made it even better. The bath was a reasonable size, and there was ample hot water.

The staff serving in the banquet were attentive, and the food was excellent. The breakfast on the following day was a-la-carte rather than a buffet which was a rather nice change.

The bar prices were not too bad for a hotel, and again the service very good. I would happily come back here again in the future.

we had an excellent time. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, the bedroom was clean with views from the windows that look out over the sea.The dinners were good, only niggle was dinner service seemed to be no order in serving customers, we were sometimes the first to arrive but later customers were served before us, apart from that the food was very good

We did not stay at The Langham Hotel but we went for afternoon tea. Wow! Amazing selection of cakes, homemade scones, clotted cream (yum!) and little sandwiches. Selection of teas too and the option to have champagne. Teapot was refreshed once and we could have had more if we had wanted it. Only negative was that the service was slow (pot of tea arrived after 10 minutes of ordering but the rest arrived 30 minutes later!!!) which was surprising as we were the only people there having afternoon tea and the only other people there were finishing off their lunches with tea and coffee. However, it was all lovely and the waiter who served us was a lovely polite young man for which nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this to others. Good price I thought too - £26 for two.

I stayed in room 131 which has a fabulous sea view. The only problem is at night as this room is in line with the zebra crossing and the flashing lights can be quite annoying as they light up the room. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was cooked to order and delicious.

Having visited the Langham for the first time over 3 years ago and not being on this site for long I feel I have to review this hotel. From the very first visit to our last ( Valentine's weekend ) I can only say it us a total pleasure to stay here. Great service across the whole experience, from reception, lounge bar, restaurant to breakfast, room service you can't fault it.You are made to feel so welcome, Neil the owners past is the top hotels in London so he has brought all that to Eastbourne and the Langham. ( read his book! ) you are treated like old friends, never had a bad stay(7 times) or a bad meal, WE WILL RETURN TIME AND TIME AGAIN . WELL DON TO ALL AT THE LANGHAM . Family, couples, friends or business highly recommended

The hotel is lovely, food is great, staff are attentive the only problem was the date we went. My wife and me went on the weekend of 12/4/14 and there was a bloody Masons convention! They were literally allowed to take over. These People and their stupid traditions are so laughable. Bursting into song every 2 minutes whilst having dinner.......so bloody annoying. We did have a nice time and our room was lovely and had a comfortable bed. Just don't go when them dorks are there. They have an extra meal at midnight...... no wonder they were all so fat!

Stayed at The Langham with a large party over the weekend. Would highly recommend it, Refurbished rooms are to a high standard, the staff go out of their way to make your stay a truly great one and the food is cooked and presented to an amazing standard! Ask for a sea view as it is well worth it and the afternoon tea is a must have! Will be going back :)

I have stayed at the Langham several times over the last couple of years and the standard gets better and better; the staff are friendly and efficient [and remember your name!], the hotel is decorated and maintained to a high standard, the food is excellent [try the line caught cod for supper and the "English" breakfast] and the value outstanding. Thank you. I shall stay again.

From entering until leaving we had an excellent time. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, the bedroom warm and clean. The lounges are beautifully decorated, with art and interesting photographs, with views from the windows that look out over the sea. Myself, being a celiac, was looked after very well when dining. We hope to return in the Autumn.

We had a lovely room with fabulous sea view, the hotel was welcoming, comfortable, the breakfast was plenty to choose from.We did not have a meal in the restaurant, but only had a snack in the bar which was OK, nothing special.. The staff were all so lovely and i look forward to returning.
The spa was closed when we were staying so i have no input on that.

My Mom and I stayed at the Langam for one night for a short midweek break by the sea. I particularly wanted a sea view as Mom hadn't been to the seaside for a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after superbly by all the staff who we coincided with. I was helped with our bags after parking up, we were upgraded to a superior room with a sea view, housekeeping came really quickly when we couldn't work out how to switch the bedside lamp on (the bulb needed replacing!) and all the restaurant staff were attentive. Breakfast was a surprising pleasure as despite the only fruit on the menu being grapefruit segments, we were given a selection of grapes, apple, pear and orange that went a treat with the yogurt.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, quiet and situated in a great location with stunning views of the sea and the pier.

If I was forced to make negative comments they would be that the broadband was, at times, really slow but we worked around that with a mobile hotspot as the mobile signal was fine. Also, there was no bath tub but I did not ask for one and the hotel literature clearly said that not all rooms had one. Again, this was fine for one night.

All in all we had a fabulous stay at the Langham and would definitely recommend it.

Thanks guys!

Stayed at the Langham in Eastbourne on 17th March 2014. I had a single room about 30 feet long and 10 feet wide! Bathroom at one end and window at the other! Clean and warm with copious amounts of very hot water. But the food was excellent. Three courses and delicious deserts! Even coffee in the bar comes with slice of flapjack. Helpfull staff and hotel right on seafront. Enjoyable stay. Thanks.

what really makes this hotel is the wonderful staff. Every member of staff were so friendly from reception to the cleaners. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The food is of high standard. I will certainly be returning.

Enjoyed a sea view family room whilst attending a weekend function with friends.
The staff could not have been friendlier. Even when serving the midnight sausage/bacon butties with coffee, they were still smiling after a long day.
No pressure to check out or drink up and the décor is to a high standard.
I like the way they use the cordless vacuum cleaners to keep the place spotless.
Our party have already booked to return next year.

We have stayed at The Langham Hotel Eastbourne, a few times over the last 3 years, and a good judge of a hotel are, on future visits have standards been maintained, well at the Langham it gets better with every trip, a first class team of staff lead by owners Neil & Wendy Kirby make you feel very special as soon as you step into the Hotel with a warm welcome. Each visit finds new improvements, excellent food a very good 4 star hotel the best kept secret on the South Coast.

Just visited this hotel for the first time and attended the Rula Lenska lunch. We have already booked for three more special lunch events, as we found the quality of the food excellent, the service outstanding and very good value for money, which coupled with the talk by Rula Lenska, made a very enjoyable lunchtime. Very impressed with Neil the hands on manager, the way the chef catered for my very peculiar dietary requirement and the staff in general, who looked after our party very well, despite the lunch talk being a sell out.

Stayed here for 3 nights during March on a B&B basis. Clearly this is a hotel that believes that the staff are its greatest asset. Without exception the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful.

The hotel is situated on the seafront, about 15 mins walk from the main shopping area. Free parking was limited and in the end I parked on the seafront - £4 for 24 hours. WiFi was excellent. Room service menu was surprisingly good value with a decent snack for under a fiver.

Breakfast was fine. Reasonable choice and the cooked breakfast was hot and well presented. Slightly disappointed by the limited choice of fresh fruit, but I suppose it's difficult to please everyone. It's also worth being specific when ordering the cooked breakfast. It's seems that you will only get 1 egg 1 slice of bacon and 1 sausage if you don't ask for more.

Paid extra for a room with sea view on top floor which was clean and spacious. However sound proofing from room below was so poor that I could work out what TV channel the guests in the room below were watching. Not a problem if you have your own TV on, but could be annoying if you were needing total peace and quiet.

Overall this is a good hotel and I would definitely stay here again.
