This is a very nice, fairly traditional hotel who clearly pride themselves on good service. Good clean rooms. Top rating for the restaurant, especially as the chef took great care with my dietary requirements - coming up with a lovely sugar-free dairy-free dessert on request, something which has often turned out to be beyond restaurants with considerably higher self-regard and prices (yes, Nobu, I'm talking about you). The staff were great.

The wifi is, I believe, being upgraded, which is much needed and was one of the reasons I knocked off half a star. Breakfast was OK, but a shame about the cheap brown toast. Good quality bread is becoming a standard nowadays. Lunch at the bar was able to come up with a freshly-baked brown roll, so why not a better quality of bread at breakfast? And better quality olive oil? That was the other half-star gone.

But, those two quibbles aside, we both had a very pleasant stay. Recommended.

My wife and I stayed for bed and breakfast for four nights, and had dinner at the hotel on 2 nights. We stayed in a 4 poster sea view room which was great and well worth the extra cost.
The Langham is in an excellent position about 10 mins walk from the pier, and we had no trouble in parking opposite the hotel. Most days we left the car and walked along the seafront to the town. The terrace outside the hotel overlooked the sea was great for drinks etc during the day.
The hotel is very clean and Covid safe, the breakfasts and dinners were delicious with first rate service and the reception staff extremely helpful and full of smiles.

My wife and I stayed for bed and breakfast for four nights, we were sad that we had to go home.

It is in an excellent position with parking available, we left the car and walked all around town.

Clean and Covid safe, breakfasts delicious with first rate service, reception staff extremely helpful and full of smiles, room cleaned every day efficiently.

We sat inside and out and the bar staff were great.

We are definitely going back and will be having the odd evening meal next.

A great break away thanks to the Langham Hotel

Visited in passing for drink and snacks, very nice food and old fashioned hotel. Overlooking seafront it is very nice to sit and look out- hope to try for overnight stay soon.
Staff very efficient at cleaning tables as soon as customers left and very ‘socially distancing ‘ friendly.

A great hotel situated right on the seafront. Our 3 night stay in September was memorable for the very comfortable room, the excellent friendly service, the dinners and breakfasts and good swimming in the sea. Would certainly recommendThe Langham and will return in the near future.

Stayed in a sea view superior room and the room was very nice, recently decorated, covid sanitiser pack on arrival.
Staff very friendly and great service with an excellent breakfast,
I would have given 5 stars if it was not for the very poor shower in the otherwise nicely decorated walk in shower.
For a superior room you expect at least a decent shower spray and this was just a dribble.

We stayed for a couple of nights in one of the four poster bed rooms, the room was lovely and comfortable with a great view of the seafront. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy and excellent management was in place for COVID-19 which made you feel extremely safe. The staff were great and attentive. There was only one small thing that let them down which was the quality (and lack of quantity) of the vegetarian breakfast, unfortunately the only word I can use for it is “disappointing” when compared to the meaty offering!

Lovely part of Eastbourne and the staff are lovely. The hotel is odd with carpeted was in the lift and a strange combination of modern and old fashioned decor in the room we stayed in. There are only 3 parking spaces which are £10 per day. Other than that there is a beautiful view and the hotel was very clean and presentable. The best thing for me was the restaurant dinner was only £25 for 3 courses and was outstanding!!!!!! Would go again

Stayed at the Langham for 3 nights , very nice hotel all round including great staff , location and excellent food. Both the breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Likewise the controls in place around COVID appeared effective without being over imposing.

Lovely Hotel, good attentive staff, great food..... and very good Covid Measures in place. The room we stayed in had a sea view was very clean and although dated was still more than acceptable. The lounge area was a nice place to have bar snacks and watch the world go by.

I booked a sea view single room and was pleased with the result - on the first floor with access to a small balcony it was impossible to fault it. The restaurant is very good although I think they could do with a special of the night, possibly some pasta variation, because after five nights had eaten my way through it and do not think a burger should have any place in a menu. That said a couple of the dishes were new and delicious. It is a bit of a trek in to town but the sun shone even if the wind blew rather strongly. The staff were splendid, especially the waiting staff who seemed to work alarmingly long hours. The Covid arrangements were good - masks in public areas but once you sat down to eat or were in the bar you could take them off and I liked the little sachet of sanitiser and tissues on the dressing table. I think Eastbourne needs a kick up the backside in terms of wanting tourists to come but that is no fault of the hotel - although the hoteliers' association ought to have the clout to see the town tourist set up does what needs to be done. It was a five day escape from locked down London and I could not have spent it in more congenial surrounding.

We have just spent 5 days at the Langham and found it to be excellent in all respects. The staff were very helpful and friendly, food excellent and location perfect. We booked a sea view room and it was well worth the supplement as the view was superb. Highly recommend - we will definitely return.

We stayed for 2 nights in a clean and comfortable sea view room. covid restrictions were in place and staff dealt with requirements in a calm and efficent manner.
All staff were extremely friendly and you could see that they all worked together as a team. Great Reception staff who were able to respond to any questions we had.
Would recommend to all age groups.

We recently stayed at the Langham Hotel in Eastbourne East Sussex which quite honestly was perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable and was a superior room with an inland view. We decided to stay at the Hotel for our evening meal which was excellent and very reasonable in cost. I really could not fault this Hotel and would most definitely stay here again.
A special mention To Barbara who is outstanding with her customer service and so friendly and helpful she is an asset to your Hotel.
Thank you once again for a great stay.

Booked the hotel for a weekend break after a recommendation from a friend. My husband also read the owners book and was interested in seeing the hotel for himself!
We were not disappointed. We had a beautiful sea view room with a bay window. The room was clean with a lovely big bed.
The bar was lovely, overlooking the sea as well and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The restaurant was excellent offering high class food at a reasonable price.
If you are looking for a good hotel with a wonderful view, great staff and reasonably priced then I would recommend The Langham.
Thank you to all for making our stay really enjoyable.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a superior sea view room. A bit old fashioned but friendly staff and good service. Busy on the first day as there was a coach load or two of OAPs. It was raining so there was no space for us in the bar that day. We ate in the restaurant that evening. Service was polite and efficient. Loved our room. It was great to be able to have such a good view. Bed was very comfortable. Walk in shower in the bathroom. Enjoyed our breakfasts and on our second day sat outside on the terrace for a snack and afternoon drinks. I’d quite happily visit again.
