Gorgeous place outside. Entry was £5 each. It gives you access to the ground and all the gardens. You have to pay an extra £2.50 for a guided tour of the castle. There is not much to see inside as it is used as a college so all you see is converted classrooms and students walking around.<br>There is an art centre with affordable paintings from locals.<br>The cafeteria serves delicious made on the spot sandwiches.<br>Recommended.

Interesting tour of the castle. Gardens are a pleasant place to wander. Tea room good for sandwiches or tea and cake.

Fantastic historic castle, went here couple months ago, with a friend of mine, went to the cafe there its very good chocolate cakes they have there.yum.and also have an observatory rather impressive .and the castle is steeped in history and the grounds are idlyic

The Castle and grounds are fantastic. But during the medieval festival, the portaloos are disgusting. This year the food prices were more reasonable but drink was extortionate. I would recommend the festival to everyone, but be prepared to rough it with the conveniences

Fantastic family day out. Tickets last 12 months making it excellent value for money. The maze is one of the best in the country and the castle is beautiful.
