Beautiful moated castle set in delightful grounds. The gardens are particularly pretty and well worth a visit. Tours of the castle are available by appointment only.

A very good science centre and observatory. There are some tours (an hour long) that will give a good idea about the history and working of the telescopes. This place will keep you and your kids busy for the whole day. Parking is included in ticket prices. It is inexpensive. For a family if 4 it is approx £25. We found it a great place for our kids.

Excellent place. Definitely take the tour but check what time it runs and book it when you arrive. It is extra £2.50pp and you book it in the castle entrance opposite the tea rooms.

Wonderful building and gardens. Inside tour very interesting but a lot of original decor gone which is a shame. Will definitely go back to see rest of grounds.

We went on the medieval feastival weekend and amazing weekend of themed fun. Lots of crafts and workshops some great reinactment and great food. Bring lots of cash. No cards accepted as it is mostly in tents in a field!

Relaxing & educational for all the family without the rip off trust price. The reason i couldn't bring myself to give 5 stars is because the art gallery themes were disappointing and much not relevant to the given nature of this splendid venue.
