A beautiful place to visit. The grounds are well kept with lots of space for children to spread their wings.<br>The castle was not open at the time of our visit, but passage to the grounds were through the castle. You can spend hours here and not get bored.

The most amazing venue for a wedding and the most attentive wedding team. After 18 months of planning and 3 lockdowns we finally held our dauhgter's wedding at Herstmonceux Castle yesterday. The whole process from initial visit to the last dance at the end of the night was so well managed. The events team lead by Carlos were attentive, full of assistance and did exactly what they said they would do. As the father i had a most wonderful day because my daughter and her partner, along with all our guests had the most wonderful day. This is a fantastic venue with the best team possible. Thanks everyone.

Didn't go into the castle. Wandered the gardens which were spacious and very pleasant. Enjoyed the apothecary garden, butterfly garden, garden with flowers to feed bees which was fulfilling its purpose admirably. Large rose garden. Some exotic trees. Deep and long borders. Plus more. Has good information on the history including the man who owns and recently renovated the castle. Also an on site cafe and craft shop.

Unfortunately we couldn't go into the actual castle because of restrictions but the grounds were beautiful and allowed for a lovely exploration with friends.

A beautiful location, gardens, castle, and lots to amuse children. If the tearooms had not been undersupplied and closing early, this would have been 5 stars.

A really lovely castle that has an amazing outdoor area and was well priced as well. It was a shame that due to renovation work and Covid that we were unable to go into the castle itself but it sets us up to come again when it is open again.
