Medieval Festival 2021, packed with entertainment, skilled jousting and fighting, great choice of stalls and food. Stalls and entertainment for children and of course let's not forget the hard work of the marshalls and greeters. We had a wonderful time and a treat to meet the Watermill Wolves. An event that never disappoints.

The castle was nice, just they don't allow people to visit the rooms (for COVID-19 safety reasons). They host conferences, weddings, etc. Has a lovely garden, a big sundial of the Royal Observatory, a collection of peacocks and geese, and even a maze to solve. Nice experience overall.

We visited while the house was still closed due to the pandemic. Also the day before a large event. As a result we had a lovely peaceful walk around the interesting gardens and woodlands. Plaques to read are scattered around and an excellent variety of fauna and flora for those willing to quietly observe.

A really splendid venue, the castle is not open currently but that didn't matter, we spent our day walking the beautiful gardens and parkland.

I could not take a look at the interior rooms of the castle due to COVID but it did not deter me to visit the various gardens and grounds. It is absolutely stunning and we spent over three hours there walking around the folly, the woodland and admiring how the grounds were so well maintained with all these beautiful flowers. Toilets are clean and has a litte cafe next to it for refreshments. You can just park your cars in front of the main entrance totally free of charge.

Great place to visit. The castle has guided tours at certain times only. The grounds are vast and best of all dogs are allowed on a leash in the gardens and grounds. There are plenty of picnic places for you if you bring your own as well as a cafe.<br>Also for an additional cost there is the observatory centre which was very popular with our children.
