Eastbourne is a typical 'English seaside town', buildings screaming Victorian grandeur of days gone by, now often dilapidated. But still mostly charming. Lots of hotels.
The promenade itself is well-maintained with pretty string lights at night, well-tended flower beds and of course the old pier is its jewel.
Its been relatively recently revamped and has solid a charm of its own.
You can find all you'd expect here - doughnuts, fish and chips, afternoon tea and arcades.

El lugar es hermoso, como turista puedo decir que los paisajes al anochecer se ve excelente el cielo y el mar, además no veras aglomeraciones ya que permanece vacío.

The beachfront is quite nice, with a range of restaurants for different budgets. There are many fish and chips places that offer takeaways as well as eating in. It's nice to enjoy the food and view the sea 🌊. The seaguls might want to join your meal, though.

Most of the businesses were closed, not overly impressed with it all.

This place looks amazing from outside but once you get there, it was not what I expected. Most of the restaurants and shops were closed and nothing exciting there. I went there on a Saturday afternoon.

Don't understand why dogs aren't allowed, this didn't put us off but bumped into others who also had to split their groups up in order to visit. Must be missing out by doing this.

Beautiful pier. Tea rooms and a pub with live music, snacks at the entrance and Asian food. The views are amazing, well worth a visit.

There's a restaurant and arcade, as well as mini golf. Classic donuts and fish and chips shops at the entrance too. They've built a metal platform around the end of the pier so it's not as nice to look over the edge anymore but the view is still nice.

Someone was trying to jump when I went up so do also be mindful.

Had a lovely Chinese from the vendor just in and to the right. It was evening time so I just walked to the end and back. The bar at the end of the pier was quite lively.

I went to university there between 1994 and stayed after graduating until 1999. I keep getting drawn back there, love the walks along the sea front, a good selection of restaurants and nice hotels, plenty of choice.

Some hotels are a little jaded now, could do with refurbishment but I have always enjoyed my trips
