Went last night and had trout, croquettes, and padron peppers to start, and sharing chateaubriand with chunky chips and all the sauces for main. It was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. The bill was about £75/head and that included bread, water, a bottle of wine, and service. We need more restaurants like Cru in Eastbourne please.

Wow! This is the best roast I have ever had. The food, the service, the atmosphere, it was all top class. Sophie was absolutely amazing, attentive and informative and the chefs did an equally incredible job with our roast dinners. 100% worth the price and the journey.

We came in for lunch today and weren’t sure our booking had been saved when we booked online, but our amazing host Hannah couldn’t have been more lovely or accommodating. She found us a nice quiet table straight away and was so sweet with our little boy, bringing him colouring pencils and paper to keep him entertained.<br><br>Hannah’s service throughout was incredible, she went above and beyond to ensure our time was amazing. So friendly, attentive, and just made everything feel relaxed and welcoming.<br><br>As always, the crew roast was absolutely incredible ..hands down the best around!! We love Cru. The food and service are always top tier, and the cocktails are amazing too. Such a gem in Eastbourne, we’ll definitely keep coming back. The food at Cru as well as the wine was excellent. However service was seriously lacking with items we ordered not turning up on time and when we questioned some additional charges on the bill - we had the rectified bill thrown back at us. Disappointing given the food was great.

Wow! Now I know what the hype is about, Cru Roast is THE most amazing roast we have eaten. Me and my 5 kids, ages from 29 down to 15 all agreed and we didn't stop doing the food dance all the way through! Pricey but worth every penny, our waitress was awesome too!

The food was insane!!! Best steak I’ve ever had and the grilled cabbage was to die for! Amazing atmosphere and the staff were so welcoming and friendly! Highly recommend and will be returning for sure!!

Most amazing roast, everything tasted different not drowned in gravy. Pricey but worth every penny. We’ll be back soon. Did have cocktails and wine, service excellent. Loved it.

Highly HIGHLY recommend. We visited Eastbourne from London for the weekend and this restaurant left an impression on us. I think the onion rings are the largest, crispiest things you've experienced on purpose. They get a reation. Short rib incredible. Scallops amazing. Beetroot risotto. We got the cheapest red wine and it was the nicest red wine I've tasted. Will be going back.

My wife and I ate here last night. We were met by warm and polite staff who were very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, my steak was cooked to perfection and well worth the money. We can't wait to come again.

Went here this afternoon for my mum’s birthday. Amazing place, great service, friendly staff, food was absolutely delicious, price really wasn’t bad for the amazing produce used. So lovely to have a restaurant that focuses on fresh, free range and organic produce. Will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Perfect in every way! Took my 81 year old mum for lunch yesterday as a birthday treat. And a treat it was! The warm greeting at the door - the wonderful attentive service from our charming waitress Evie - the delicious food which was piping hot (and served on lovely warm plates). The whole experience was excellent. I had the (new to the menu) beetroot and goats cheese risotto which was delicious, and mum enjoyed every mouthful of her fish and chips which was light and flaky. She enjoyed a beautifully made Negroni cocktail and a candle in her Churros dessert! Thank you Cru staff for your attention to detail and making my mother feel very special.

Hard to say just how good and consistent this place is and remains one of the best spots to eat in Eastbourne. The menu is exquisite and the service is just perfect. The fact we got squeezed in at 5 minutes notice felt like such a bonus. It's a small but perfectly formed menu which is how I like it. The small plates are great. As for the home made butter, wow, you need to go just for that!

We went for a Christmas meal at Cru and had a wonderful evening.<br>I had a lot of dietary requirements to contend with and they made me an amazing meal. Everything was so well communicated and the staff were so friendly.<br>Everything I’ve been here it’s been really good so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Excellent service with great food, extensive wine list, knowledgeable sommelier. Very popular, with a real Saturday night buzz, booking essential. Spanish style food for easy sharing. We chose a Tomahawk steak between three, chips included, and with one extra side it was ample and reasonable cost-wise. Friendly efficient service, and ordering a taxi for us was no trouble. Shared churros to finish, delicious. If I had one gripe it would be mark-up on the wine. I found the £60 bottle for immediate retail at almost 2/3 less.

A wonderful welcome, beautiful service and treated like royalty.<br>Compliments to all staff.<br><br>The chorizo starter was full of flavour with a rich red wine sauce definitely will be coming for more. The scallops just melted in the mouth with a beautiful crumb for texture.<br><br>Mains, burgers cooked to perfection each bite full of flavour leaving your mouth watering 😋<br>Steak spot on. And the lobster was just magical ! (Perfect infact!)<br><br>Cocktails fabulous choices 👌<br>Even the selection of non alcohol beers where lovely.<br><br>Atmosphere. November 2024<br>Outstanding Tomahawk steak with a customised mushroom sauce. Incredible crumbke to follow. Amazing service as always, a must if you are in the area and a scheduled regular booking if you live locally!<br><br>May 2024 another amazing visit with superb food and service. Go for the Tomahawk and lobster if you are looking for something special.<br><br>Jordan and the team have always made us feel super welcome here, and also squeezed us in when we've called on the day to get a booking.<br>Food is incredible - the Tomahawk steak was enough for 3 of us to share. Go for the truffled onion rings and Tomahawk if you love steak. Drinks are fantastic with a great choice of cocktails and Mo'cktails. Beautifully refurbished in early 2023 so even more lovely with green leather booth seating. One of the best places to eat in Eastbourne.
