We went here last night staff friendly nice atmosphere food fantastic. I had the special steak and kidney ale pie omg lovely bits of steak pastry amazing. My husband had vegan option nut roast again all hot and can't fault our meals highly recommend 😄😄👏👏

Visited on a Friday when they had live music during our weekend stay. A decent all round pub. Friendly smiling staff who were eager to serve you unlike some pub staff. Great food - decent portions and good value. Everything was well presented. Overall a great pub. Can be busy at times so best to book a table if you plan to eat. Five minute walk from our hotel - saved going into the town centre.

Nice typical British pub. There are separate areas for different purposes. Range of beers. We had roasted beef, it didn't satisfy our expectations but still it's okay. Price is slightly above average. Booking in advance recommended.

Staff awesome .... well staff were awesome today she was point blank rude no conversation infact she came across quite milatant...... got food wrong way round quite a shame really as last experience here was awesome so really disappointed at your bar staffs attitude very unfriendly never again and let people know

Went there for late lunch and tried their roast. It was very delicious- a variety of tasty beers were a cherry on top as well! If you are in Eastbourne, don't miss out the chance for a delicious meal or an enjoyable drink by the seaside by paying here a visit 👍🏻

Dog friendly Visited Saturday afternoon for lunch staff where extremely friendly and helpful the waitress who brought our food over was very pleasant and attentive the food was homemade and you could tell.. Visited around 6.30

What A Shame!!We Have Been Going To The Crown And Anchor For Many Years Now,It Looks lovely With Its New Refurbishment, sadly The Meals Are half The Size They Used To Be, plus If You use The Gents loos, it Is Disgusting, black mould everywhere Just look up at the ceiling ,Black Mould spores are dangerous to peoples health. Will not be going back there until this has been sorted out, I hope the New Management read this and take a look For yourself.In today's hygiene aware society there Is no excuse for this.

Decent selection of beers and nice staff. Unfortunately the chips and peas for our mains were both undercooked, and the cod and scampi was only ok. Prices are fine.
They also sadly don’t get the afternoon sun in their terrace which is a shame!
