Came here for a roast with my wife and a few friends. Beef was cooked perfectly and the creamed leeks were delicious! Love the fact they do a roast 7 days a week.

Me and my wife had our wedding reception and wedding breakfast at the Crown and Anchor Pub. The Landlady was incredibly helpful and helped accommodate all our needs. On the night Olly and all the staff were brilliant they took all the stress off our shoulders and the event ran so smoothly. The buffet (£15pp at the time of writing) was absolutely delicious and the wedding breakfast was equally delicious.
We highly recommend the Crown and Anchor Pub for dinner but also for hosting functions!
Lastly but not least the function room has a private balcony and sea view!

Having been in Eastbourne I thought I would review some of the most talked about places. The pub is large and has outdoor searing and dog friendly. The food menu is quite extensive with many specials offered as well. They are advertising their food as a selling point so I thought why not. The drinks selection is comprehensive and nice cocktails too. I ordered the crispy pork belly style Sunday roast. It took a little while to come out but was very average the skin was chewy not crispy and the mash was average. Maybe I came a bit too late and the food was already a bit old. However I did feel disappointed, considering it was nearly £15. Apart from that the service was great all the bar staff were friendly and helpful. I will come back and try some other dishes to check food quality. The location is great though with easy access to beach and nice views.

Attended a wedding breakfast in the upper room. The food, staff and service were excellent and a lovely view out to the sea. Highly recommended.

Fantastic family friendly pub ,food was awesome and amazing value for money plenty of choice and everyone is catered for . Staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was to much trouble even on a busy bank holiday. I can't speak highly enough of our experience on our visit will most definitely be back!

Chose Crown & Anchor because of the ratings and proximity to our lodging. Was not disappointed at all. Had reservations for 2 at 7:00. Table was waiting despite the large crowd already assembled. Service was fast, friendly. I ordered the Steak & Ale pie: lean beef with only a small bit of fat; the vegetables, especially the broccoli and carrots were delicious; the mash and gravy also excellent; and there was plenty of it. My wife's burger with onion ring was very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. As we were leaving, Quiz Night was beginning and the participants seemed to be focused on the contest and enjoying the evening. Overall, a really good value and good time.

Superb value and quality. We paid twice as much for a meal 2 weeks ago in a posh hotel which wasn't a patch on this . My husband's Lamb Shank came with a variety of vegetables including leeks in a sauce, sweed mashed and perfectly cooked broccoli and carrots. Tasty vegan choices too
