Bargain getaway Cheap getaway for 3 nights half board . We upgraded to a sea view superior room as the standard we booked was disappointing, but £40 extra for the 3 nights was well worth it, and the room was fantastic. Food at the Burlington is really good, and staff are great as well, we now regularly book for a cheap break, and we love it. Added bonus was the bar had Guiness on offer at £2.90 a pint 🥰

Was here on a Shearings trip
Most enjoyable few days. Staff so very pleasant and helpful.
Just a few things that might help
1. Breakfast was hot but nowhere to put plate while using self service
2. Limited hot food section as no fried eggs.
3. Evening meal was served on very small plates or even a bowl.
Although plates were hot food was only lukewarm

A bit disappointed and thinking of staying elsewhere next time we visit Eastbourne Loved the sea view . Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was surprisingly small and not what I was expecting. We stayed here in a rear standard room twice last year and the rooms were much bigger. Thought if i chose a higher priced room it would be at least as big.

Good experience, would definitely recommend. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. Paint in the bathroom had flaked off- could do with a refresh.

A excellent mini break despite a bumpy start The location is excellent. We were not happy with the room we were first given, as we had stayed many times before in a sea view superior room, we thought it was too small & dark. So we spoke with the manager. He was great & did he's best to please us with a choice of rooms. After viewing them we found the room we had stayed in before, we were very happy. There is no way you can find any fault with the breakfast for the price. It is very plentiful & a good choice. The staff are very good especially in the dinning room. Bad lightening in the room. Having to leave at 10am

Value for Money stay Perfect location on Eastbourne's promenade. This listed building has possibly seen some better days but everything worked and was comfortable. Dog friendly and for the money paid absolutely no complaints. Buffet breakfast available, entertainment three nights a week and ample lounge space with sea views. What's not to like?

Long Weekend Away This is a lovely Victorian Hotel, but in need of an upgrade. Apparently this is going to happen soon. The staff are amazing and helpful. We have stayed in this Hotel for many years and they have entertainment some nights, which is nice. Drink prices are fair and the Bar Menu is good. We stayed half board. The Breakfast options have got better over the years, and you are given the Dinner Menu at Breakfast to choose what you would like for the Evening. Nothing but this time the room we were expecting to go into had been moved, so we had to change rooms the following morning. The Reception Manager sorted this with no issues and upgraded us to a Seaview at no extra cost for the inconvenience. This was appreciated.

Great location Reception staff were friendly and helpful and so we're the restaurant staff. They also made a great packed lunch for me. Also the hotel is in a great location. Not the hotels fault but i had really noisey guests above me. Very heavy on their feet. Also the room was in need of a refurb.

Adequate / room had some issues / breakfast was good. Breakfast. Bar Road Closed outside the hotel which meant Me and my 97 year old dad had to walk a long way to the Hotel. Entrance into the hotel car park was also difficult and meant driving the wrong way up a one way street, all this information should have been provided prior to me setting out but it was not! Being unable to find suitable parking was very stressful.

A fair review We liked the location and the area was clean compilmented by beautiful flowers out front , its very quiet , the food was nice well presented , reception staff was very helpful , and i like that they have entertainment 3 nites aweek , overall lovely stay i do feel its perfect for the older generation tho , that require peace and a relaxed stay . Didnt see any children here but was lots of dogs! Not alot to do in the area , it is for the older generation altho we found some little clubs to go have a drink at play pool and darts at, the carpet in our room and our friends that came with us they do need cleaning or just replaced , We also think that the mattress should have a mattress protection cover and the pillows for hygiene as many people sleep on these beds , Other than that it was lovely to come stay at the burlington , but we wouldnt come again purely because we would get bored of the area as not much to do , thank you for having us

Perfect stay for 24 hours away from home I am so glad we booked a superior room as this was a lovely room overlooking the sea. The rear of the property is not very inviting. I liked the fact the hotel is very old with no modern cons - it's kept it's history and found it very quaint as though you're stepping back in time! Loved the old wooden lift where you open the door then get into the lift. We came from the rear entrance which was not nice at all. The parking was not clear and you had to go down a no entry road that we had not been told of as there were roadworks. Prior notice would have been appreciated.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was of a good standard and choice. Well located. The property is somewhat tired generally and in need of a refurbishment, especially the bathroom and window surround.

Amazing staff and that makes the differences to staying somewhere.

I’ve stayed at other hotels that charge more and the customer service or even security aspects weren’t there. I’m glad I chose to stay.

Staff are amazing and accommodating. Security staff are also amazing. They ensure only those staying are allowed in after a certain time of night. Each night I left to get food, they made sure to check up on me to ensure I got back. I found this to be amazing given the price of the stay. You can’t beat somewhere with actual customer service. The staff are a credit to the hotel.
