Amazing staff, great location
The staff are definitely what makes the hotel, they can't do enough for you. The breakfast was good. The beds were comfy, and from someone who suffers with their back, that's good. The bar is cheap. Beds were clean. Great location. Would stay again.
The hotel needs updating, which i understand they are doing and will take time. Rooms could do with a deep clean. Other than that, it was good.

Location being very close to the pier, seafront opposite and close to town too. An overnight stop. We didn't eat in the hotel or partake of the evening entertainment
Our room had a view of the car park but this was reflected in the price we paid. If you want a seaview, understandably you pay more.

Proved excellent for visiting seafront and bandstand. Excellent staff.
Staff were very helpful at checkin and when reservation made. They answered all my questions via email very quickly and efficiently.

Limited parking at back resulted me having to drive and park in nearest NCP. Had to phone hotel to ask what to do. Quite a walk with luggage from carpark to hotel. Would have liked information in advance. Got hotel carpark for 2nd night.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good standard mix of cereal, juices and hot food. Bed was comfortable and the rooms were a good size. The sea view was nice.
The hotel is a bit tired and could do with some investment to refurbish the outside and replace some of the tired interior and tired/not so clean ensuite. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast selection could be broadened to provide more for those who don't have meat or dairy.

Great position. Traditional seaside hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Only downside was the smallest shower room I've ever come across! Overall very happy with a very reasonable room rate. We are going back for the airshow this summer.

Good value and lovely helpful staff
We have been back to this hotel many times. It is generally very good value (amazing prices in low season). The rooms are spacious and comfortable, many with outstanding sea views. This time around, there was construction in the street with alarms going off late in the evening. As this wasn't something the hotel could control, the manager promptly offered us a room on the other side of the hotel. All done in a helpful, friendly way - the staff are always lovely here. We will be back!
Bathrooms tend to feel newer than the bedrooms, so if you like slightly aged charm then this is the place for you. Not if you want shiny brand new everything.

Know What You're Getting
The staff were friendly and inviting. The location was great!
The facility is very run down and in much need of a facelift. In addition, it was filthy. The carpet had not been cleaned or vacuumed. The area around the base of the shower looked as if it had not been cleaned for months. The frames around the windows were rotted and had spider webs. The mattress on the bed was dated and could stand to be replaced. If you just need a place to lay your head, it's perfect. If you're looking for luxury or comfort, keep looking!

Friendly service and a lovely sea view from our room which was very clean with lovely bed linen and towels. I think it would be fair to say that the hotel is in need of an update - however at the price we paid it was fine and we would return.

Excellent location in a traditional seaside hotel.
The location is excellent. The room was large with sea view. The bathroom also large. The twin beds however were quite small in width.
The room has clearly been redecorated but there were drops of paint and it wasn't particularly clean. The bath could do with a handrail.
