we have been many times to the Burlington and always find staff happy to help and efficient! Rooms (3) were all good - though at the rear. So views were of walls, rubbish bins, old street, fire escape!
Breakfasts were excellent - though always exactly same every day. No variety! Eg no fish such as kippers!
The 4 plus person lift was out of order - manager said that the spare part was hard to find - as lifts are so old! So the one functioning lift (max 3 persons) had to do all the hard work. Esp on departures at 10am. Very difficult esp for one of us who was disabled.
The Car Parking at a busy weekend was difficult - some cars were too large - one was an enormous old american car. While we KNOW that this car park does not belong to the Hotel, the company should have a much better method of managing so that those who PAY first have PRIORITY - even if they go out from the car park for outside engagements, meals etc. Very frustrating weekend!

Comfortable and enjoyable stay in a classic Victorian hotel. The wonderful view from the fourth floor overlooking the sea.
The wide selection of food available for breakfast, the porridge was very tasty.
A comfortable bed and windows that could be opened to provide ventilation.
Great value for money.

Perfect beachfront location and a short walk to local amenities.
Bed was comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and staff were friendly.
During our 3 night stay the room was never serviced, so we ran low on toilet paper and tea and coffee making items and our bin remained full.

We generally stay here every year, the location is perfect, we struck lucky this year with a large sea view room. The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic. The breakfast is very good with a great selection.

During my recent stay at the Burlington Hotel, I encountered a few issues. One of the lifts was out of service, and the operational one was quite small, accommodating only two people comfortably. The reception staff seemed a bit impolite when I requested additional pillows; I was provided with one that was so flat it was practically unusable. Furthermore, there were no housekeeping services, and the bins were not emptied, nor were the beds made. While breakfast was pleasant, it was an additional charge and not included in the room rate. The hotel's location is excellent, situated right on the beach with views of the pier and close to the shopping district. However, there was a noticeable damp odor in the corridor. The room itself was a good size, but many items appeared to be askew. The bathroom was spacious, but lacked a place to set clothes while showering. The exterior of the hotel appears to be in need of significant renovation.

Usually love it but so disappointed this time, will have to think again in the future. Have stayed here numerous times and have been comfortable and happy. Executive Rooms are a great size with a lovely sea view. Clean for the most part and a great location. Staff are always excellent. I was so disappointed this time round. When we arrived only one lift was working and it was the size of a coffin. Says it should hold 4 people but could just about fit 2 without bags which had to go separately. I had asked for a low floor because I know the lifts are tiny and I’m claustrophobic and because of my disability cannot do stairs but was given the 2nd floor and could not be moved. I had no choice but to use this tiny lift which left me distressed every time i had to go downstairs. Just to top it off, got woken up at 7.30 in the morning by a howling dog in the room above.

A comfortable and well equipped room, great value breakfast (£10) and helpful friendly staff. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good value One of the two very small (nominal four, thin, people) lifts was not in use. This could be a problem if on higher floors (3&4), if not fit

Great Hotel a lot of character, rooms a bit outdated. In the Hotel you can see the allure it must have had in its glory days, we really liked that. It has beautiful rooms downstairs, the restaurant the ball room, etc. The staff is ever so friendly. The view from the bedrooms is beautifull with the Pier in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is very good, full english or a lighter version, you can take wathever you want. We asked for a packed lunch on Saterday, if you go for a long hike I can reconmend it, delicious sandwiches, a bag of crisps, a chocolate treat and a drink. Saterday night there was a lady singing live music, which was very good, it was our last night, so that was a great end of our stay at the Burlington. I think it was great value for money, we will be back The rooms we stayed in were a bit outdated, they can use a bit of a tidy up.
