Great location Great sea view and lots of space in the room, with a good breakfast. The hotel is quite tired and in need of renovation.

We had a very comfortable stay and would certainly be happy to return. Our room was very comfortable and not dated as some previous posts had mentioned. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept well. The room was spotless. The breakfast was great with a good choice of foods. We had a meal from the bar menu two evenings and found it to be excellent value for money. All members of staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Can't think of anything.

Brilliant location. Staff on reception desk were friendly and very helpful. I asked for a fan and a non slip mat for shower. Delivered to my room within 10 mins. Only had one dinner in hotel which was not to my liking. There are plenty of local eateries.

A traditional seaside hotel. Breakfast very good. Location Bathroom needed a deep clean! Pillows were hard foam things that belong in the last century. If you want a good nights sleep bring your own pillow!

Very comfortable bed, good mattress.
Staff were helpful in reception for advise on bus connections.
Very good selection for breakfast.
Two negatives
Main entrance has steps, no ramp for wheelchair access or walkers.
Toilets in main bar area and lounge are down two flights of stairs.

The Burlington Hotel is set on the Eastbourne sea front right next to the pier. The rooms have different prices dependant on what you needs are.We had a super room with a lovely view of the pier.Plenty of room and a nice bathroom. We had Breakfast and dinner which was very good.Dont like new system of have to buy your drinks at the bar then taking into dinner! They have parking at the rear of the hotel which is very handy.

Stayed here for 2 nights last year to watch the Tuesday tennis schedule. Weather last year temperamental with cold wind and rain towards end of day. This time it was el scorchio.

Hotel is still tired but location for the tennis is excellent and with the Belgian cafe attached. It certainly is not 5 star and doubt it would claim to be. But for location, value for money and breakfast it can’t be faulted.

Fine Convenience Not the best part of town

Very pleasant - all was good. Locations fine. Nothing to complain about. As regular users of the hotel, some variation within the menu would be good. It's been the same for many years.

Would give easier access if their was a pedestrian path on the side where the other hotel burnt down, rather than walking in the road.
What's the council or whoever doing as it's now been several years?

Stately old pile right on the seafront overlooking the seafront, tired looking from the outside but like a time capsule inside down to the tiny wooden lifts and the ballroom! We had a corner room no321 which my friend loved for the sea views, no airconditioning or double glazing though. All in all a perfectly adequate stay. The hotel could do with a few million to upgrade it!

This hotel is on the seafront and in a great location for Eastbourne tennis and restaurants. The bedroom we stayed in was clean and bathroom was nice but it is very dated. There’s no fridge or a safe but there’s a kettle & tea/coffee. The breakfast was good but the staff looked rushed off their feet.
The building is in need of complete refurbishment, inside and out.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly, I will not be going there again as it is not up to standard. I hope it will be restored to its former glory.

We stayed over night Wednesday for my mums 90th b day and I booked 2 sea view rooms with disabled facilities for my mum . Staff on arrival were very kind and helpful .
But at 2 AM in the morning the fire alarm went off and was over 20 mins before someone switched it off .
We was on the 4th floor and I had to run to my mums room and try to help her out as she is disabled .It was a nightmare , people panicking and a few ladies in the same situation as my mum as they can't walk the stairs and of course in an event of a fire the lift is out of action .
There was an emergency phone in the hall which I called but it Does not work .
No fire doors to protect us in the corridors or the rooms which I thought was law .
Not 1 member of staff came to help or advise or tell us what or where the problem was .
Eventually some ppl came back up and said it was someone cooking or making toast in there room but im not sure .
Not one member of staff in the morning offered an apology or explanation of what went on .
SO if yr disabled my advice is book the lowest floor possible in case of any problems .We was lucky it was not a real fire but if it had of been We and others would of been stuck .

Eastbourne stay The location is great. Directly opposite the pier and beach. Just cross the road and you're there.
Great breakfast. Good price, especially if you book in advance. Lovely staff. Great to see a tired, once grand, old building so busy.
The carpet in the room needs replacing. It's old, worn and feels dirty even if it isn't.
Tiny bathroom with a toilet holder on the wall that goes over the toilet bowl. Some serious gymnastics to make it comfortable. This is an old building that needs to TLC. Keep the prices down, do some work and give it the love it deserves.

Just want to say thank you to all the staff, especially Abi, who was exceptional when we checked in. The picture is the Location is absolutely brilliant, close to restaurants and shops and across the road from the sea. Also has their own car park. My only comment would be , the outside of the hotel needs a facelift.
