It’s a very old and established building with lots of character lots of. Creaky floor boards .that added to our stay.and with the staff so helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble for them.the breakfast was plenty with a good selection and amount .with the room clean and tidy.we had a standard room but supplied with tea and coffee and kettle ,it own bathroom with all the soap and shower dispensers. All at a very reasonable cost very pleased and pleasant long weekend
The wife and myself didn’t find anything displeasing about our stay it was very enjoyable

We were really happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.
We like the hotel because when we walked in the lobby was massive and grand.

Amazing seafront view
View from.our room was amazing. The room was spacious, bathroom a little cramped and very little shelving for toiletries. Toilet seat was loose, but put right very quickly after reporting to reception.
The bed was comfy, second night much better with additional requested pillows.
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
The breakfast had a good selection of cereals, fruit, seeds, pastries and hot food.
I am not gluten intolerant, but they cater for people who are with their own selection of cereal, bread and milk alterntives. The communal areas were too hot. We opted to have the evening meals which were not good. It is rather regimental having to stick to the same table for meals and having to pre order at breakfast.I understand this to a degree when at full capacity, but numbers were very low. The dinners are obviously pre cooked due to this as we had barely sat down before our food arrived and this adds to the food not being very appetising.
The whole building is shabby, and tired in parts, but it is a huge building to maintain.
Having said that there is no excuse foor grubby paintwork on doors and rails.
Despite this, due to its location and comfy bed and nice staff we would stay again,but make sure we eat out in the evening.

Very friendly welcoming staff, nice cosy room was happy to be given ensuite with bath. Heating wasn't working on room at first but very helpful gent at reception gave me a portable heater. Amazing value for money was very pleased overall would highly recommend.

Excellent location right opposite the pier. Lovely sea view. Good selection for breakfast
The room was cold the radiator didn't come on. Room was a little dated. Bed was small and not very comfortable. Pillows were extremely hard. Didn't sleep well.

The price! The bedding and the bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a lovely view of the promenade. The staff were friendly and the location spot on.
The place is a bit shabby, especially the lift, but, for £29 I certainly wasn't complaining.

Location was perfect for getting to the Congress Theatre.
Room was old and tired, dirty carpets, chipped bath, mismatched bathroom, mattress lumpy and seen better days. It was like stepping back in time. Breakfast was awful, bacon dry n crispy, cold tinned tomatoes, watery eggs, sausages and hash browns looked nice but tasted odd and bland.

Fantastic staff. And entertainment.food good.and choice x4. Room dusty everywhere.cleaned remote. Back of TV. Window sills. Think maybe housekeeping have lost their spark. Damp on wall. Bathroom dated.couldnt open window. No extractor. Shower head needs cleaning.plug in oil heater
