Comfortable hotel on the promenade. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good and very helpful friendly staff. We didn't get a sea view or a bath, but no problem really! The room smelled a bit musty but we opened the window which solved the problem. The only other issue was that our friends (same booking) paid £6 for the car park but there wasn't a space available when they returned around 10:30pm. There should be a monitoring system to stop people parking who haven't paid.

Not bad for the price. Good size room, comfortable bed. Hair in the bath and plug hole.
Single glazed windows that rattle when it’s windy.

I was looking forward to staying at this iconic hotel which is very centrally located, opposite the pier.
Positive points:
- Friendly staff.
- Room was clean and housekeeping efficient.
- Modernised bathroom.
- Reasonably good value for the price.
- Good amount of seating in the lobby area.
Issues for improvement:
- Decor of the room a little dated and poor soundproofing between floors.
- Noisy guests in corridors causing a disturbance after 11pm.
- Perhaps it would be helpful to have some information in the room about the hotel's services and local attractions.
- There are only two rather ancient looking lifts, only one of which seemed to have been working and even this looked rather cramped and dicey. I ended up having to use the stairs (three flights).
- The entrance to this historic building ought to be grander than it is at present.
Overall, the Burlington is really a budget hotel, of a slightly lower standard than Premier Inn.

Easy check-in and parking, room had everything needed, hotel was clean and well presented, good value and breakfast was good. Floors were creaky and could hear the people moving above. The bed wasn't level and leaned to one side slightly, old style rooms.

Noises off Staff friendly .room was ok Entertainment was good on the Tuesday. Breakfast choice was scaled down .no fried eggs .no porridge.
Wednesday evening entertainment was far too loud .many of the elderly guests didn't like it .

Lovely building in need of refurbishment. Great location. Beautiful old Victorian building. The man on Reception was friendly and helpful. A great location opposite the pier. The bar was very reasonably priced and a singer on the Saturday night was very good although we missed the first half as we had no idea there was entertainment. Good point of breakfast was Oat and Almond milk supplied on a separate table with Gluten free bread and a separate toaster.  Nice view of the sea and pier from the dining room. Although the hotel is a beautiful Victorian building it was in need of refurbishment. The bedroom was quite spavious however, the bed was very small and uncomfortable. The room was mainly clean and warm apart from limescale on the rim of the tap, mould on the net curtains and some sort of stain on the bathroom wall. Breakfast was basic buffet style with cereals, yogurt, frozen mixed fruit, cooked breakfast, juices, white or brown toast and croissants. Tea and coffee were available out of large flasks. Sunday morning before advertised time of breakfast finishing, the brown bread ran out and when asked it was replenished by a lady who had been checking guests into the dining room. She brought out the bread in it's packet and proceeded to put the bread in the basket with her bare hands. Needless to say we skipped toast! A man asked for sausages (about 9.40am) to be told they had run out.

The accommodation is located in a beautiful place, just opposite the pier. Check-in was easily done, as I arrived late in the night the staff member handed over the key and agreed that I can make the payment in cash next morning. The room including private bathroom was equipped with everything I needed for a couple of days (towels, kettle, tea and coffee).
