This was a great hotel. A little tired but that gave it character. Staff were excellent, sheets cotton and clean, bathroom clean. No bells or whistles but excellent value for money right on the seafront.

The sun shone hooray! Brilliant location, enjoyed our weekend and will re-book again. Location brilliant, central to theatres, bandstand, beach, shops, bus tours. Breakfast was good. Value for money. Staff at the Burlington polite and helpful. Check in very quick and room ready early...a bonus. We have stayed several times and love the old charm and history of this Grand Hotel. Enjoyed the entertainment too! During our stay we called maintenance due to blocked sink and he came immediately excellent service. Room looked a little tired and in need of a deep clean. But, understand this is a budget hotel and OK for our needs. Maybe a lick of paint would freshen the old place up. Carpet very stained.

Unnerving Lift experience When we first got there myself & my wife got stuck in the lift, it took the staff roughly 15 minutes to get us out but the lift continued to get stuck on other occasions on our two night stay.

The breakfast was OK but the sausages tasted like they were not cooked properly, the rest of the breakfast was OK, the staff at breakfast time were very friendly & helpful so we'll forgive the quality of the sausages.

Ok for a quick stay and visit to the seaside. The room was as expected for the money. Decor was tired and dated, but plain.

I did not use the shower or any other amenities at the property.

The breakfast was ok, but not great.

Wonderful location near the promenade and the pier.
The overhead light kept flickering all night once turned off and kept me awake most of the night.

I reccommend wearing slippers or socks in the room, the floor was a bit grubby.

Better quality of meats for breakfast are advisable. The sausauge was "squishy" and unpalletable.

The staff at the reception I think her name is sam she has the dreadlocks she always makes us welcome as I do come regularly I am disable and I did request not to have over the bath shower as my disability is my knees and I find it really hard and very dangerous for me getting in and out of the bath plus

Great charming bolt hole in a storm. Old world charm that was lovely to be inside in the dry and warmth when the weather outside was cold and wet.

Great location opposite the pier. Great for access to promenade, town and Beachy Head. Room a tad worn but acceptable for a 3 night stay. Dining room staff were so pleasant, polite and helpful. Food to a good standard for the price paid. Entertainment was good and fun. A bit cheekey to charge £6 a night to use the hotel car park, but I suppose it is a way of making money. Yep will vit again in the future.

we loved this hotel. on the face of it slightly dated and worn around the edges but that’s what really endeared me to it. the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the view couldn’t be better. the staff were all friendly and helpful and would definitely stay again when next in Eastbourne. the ONLY thing that let us down was the breakfast which was pretty dreadful, on the second morning we didn’t even bother showing up for it despite having already paid,
overall though a big thumbs up!

Near the beach and a bsolutely worth Nice quiet place near to everything . The beach is just cross the street. The singer (entertainment on Thursday) had a wonderful voice, nice song collection and all the atmosphere was so welcoming. It could be warmer in the room and a bit clearer.

Midweek 3 night break. Large room, comfortable bed, very nice buffet breakfast, excellent evening meal (3 courses). Helpful and polite staff. fantastic location and great value for money. Would gladly recommend and stay again. Water pressure in bathroom was a bit low. Hot water could have been hotter. We booked a basic double room though.

Showing its age but ok A great old hotel from a bygone era however sorely in need of a renovation. Great location in walking distance to the pier and town. Ok for a nights stay. Needs some renovations

Super friendly staff. Great value for money. Needs a little tlc. Look, this is a bit run down old British seaside hotel in need of some TLC. However with the price being what it is it is excellent value for money. Not to mention the staff. I met no person who wasn’t absolutely wonderful to talk to. They were helpful and smiled. If this place had a lick of paint and a bit of interior design with the current staff it would be able to demand much higher prices. Owners of you are reading this then get a little refurb on the go.

Breakfast was nice with GF options and helpful staff.
It’s a little run down but everyone who works there makes up for it.

Lovely historic hotel Spaciousness of the room, the appearance of the dining room, and the different areas in which to relax The lift occasionally did not work well, and we got stuck once.
