Excellent location, adequate hotel but dated throughout Location was great - right on the sea front and by the pier. Very dated throughout the hotel, below average breakfast

Pleasant but not wonderful Location, food especially the breakfast and how lovely all the staff were. Bedrooms very tatty and old fashioned. Water pressure on the 4th floor awful so showering wasn’t very good.

We have recently stayed at the Burlington Hotel Eastbourne (12,13,14/07/24). Hotel very very tired and in need of major refurbishment throughout. We reported our shower NOT working on the first evening (Friday). Then again TWICE more only to be told, the shower could not be repaired until the following Monday morning, the day we were leaving. We were not offered to change rooms just told to basically, get on with it.

The rooms are not serviced everyday just the bins are emptied. We weren't told this until we queried it and told it was STILL their policy following covid. Now, if they can replace bin liners and towels. Why can't they fully service the rooms ie make the beds. The basin plug couldn't be removed without having to go behind the pedestal and pulling the level down.

Our room was right behind the TWO lifts (I know it couldn't be helped) but the noise from them went on until early in the morning. Which did impact on us sleeping properly. This means that at least FOUR rooms will be affected.

The restaraunt. To be fair, the food was quite good for what we paid and the staff serving were pleasant. Again the staff in the small bar were again, pleasant and courteous. The only thing about it is. The lack of draft beers (1 lager and 1 cider) compared to the much larger bar next to the entertainment room. This bar is only used when, there is a function on. Which isn't that often tbh. Which to me is just a waste of space. But there you go!!!

I think the reception should be resited to neaer the main entrance and not, stuck away around the corner out of site. At least they could then keep a check on who comes and goes. The hotel does get a lot, of people using walking/mobility aids. The main entrance isn't actually user friendly to these guests as it has steps up to the main door. If, they converted one set of steps to a SLOPE, then they could enter more easily. Also, there is NO disabled or ladies toilets on the ground floor. You have to go down a flight or take a lift to the dark and damp basement. Or go back to your room. The only toilet available for use on the ground floor. Is a gents and NOT the cleanest either. It needs to be monitored.

The only good thing about the hotel is, it's in a great location opposite the pier and a 5 min walk to the town centre with lots of shops, bars restaurants etc.

Will we come back to the Burlington. Then that's a NO. Shame really but there look better hotels close by.

This is a great value for money hotel. We’ve been a few times now. The rooms and bathrooms are slowly being refurbished. The lack of air con in the hot weather is an issue for some. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location with easy access to shops and local bars/restaurants

A good break at a fair price. Good value. Thank you. The stay was good value for money. The staff were excellent, polite and friendly. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Excellent location opposite the seafront. Fair price for parking for the area. The hotel allows dogs at a reasonable price. The building is listed and is a little tired with some work needed on it. That said the staff do their best to keep it going.

Honest review Parking is a massive bonus, staff were really friendly. Yes it's a little tired but it was clean enough and you can't beat the views. I probably spent hours watching out of the window at the changing weather.
Breakfast is limited, but it's constantly topped up and again I paid next to nothing for it.
Basically you get more than you pay for and I'd definitely book again
Yes it would be fabulous if we turned up and it looked like the ritz but we paid under £450. For 5 nights in July for a twin room with sea views and breakfast.

Perfect for our short break. Big airy room and easy access to facilities. External a little tired and weather beaten. However definite signs matter being dealt with.

Value for money. OK for one night. The room was big with everything we needed in it.
Clean and comfortable bed.
Just a bit tired. Walls and carpet stained although it wasn't that bad as we have booked to go back in September for one night.
