Excellent position, large room with lovely sea view
We booked a double room but the bed was not a double. It was a 4ft bed and very uncomfortable

Lifts were broken when I arrived with ongoing issues during my stay. My case was carried up to the 2nd floor. Ended up having to walk up and down the stairs 3 times. My bad knee was not happy.
The sash windows were very difficult to open and the paint work outside was really bad.
There was no information in the room apart from evacuation map. I had no idea there was entertainment so missed it the first night. It was only by chance after an evenings walk, that I heard the music and asked what it was.
No local information in room.
The food for breakfast was large bulk cooked. The bacon was all stuck together and really hard where it had been standing. As though it had been reheated. I appreciate you need to cook in bulk but surely you can keep it separated in smaller piles until you need to top up a serving dish.
I’d booked with Hotels. Com and picked a room showing a walk in shower as I have trouble getting into a bath with a shower over. I got a bath with a shower over. Luckily there were grab rails so I could just manage. I was told I should have requested a walk in, but didn’t realise it was necessary as the picture showed one.

Hotel served its purpose for a short visit to Eastbourne. Won’t be choosing this hotel next time.
Good seafront location
Only one lift working. Location of lift area, reception, entrance and bike storage caused congestion. Very narrow staircase resembled “tradesmen entrance”. Bathroom very narrow, difficult to turn round in (room 112). Could not get a cup of tea or coffee in the bar area.

People cleaning your room ignorant, had one standing round like a weirdo on his phone.
Had £50 pinched from room after half a day, got money back from reception, father in law had man bag pinched, found by exit with man bag purse emptied of £10
Don't leave valuables in room, they will get nicked..
Front and rear doors not locked, anybody can walk in and reception works not see, probably either dodgy staff or someone from outside with a master key..
Won't stay there again..

Value for money
We were an elderly group so being by the shops and pier we were able to walk to them.Entertainment every night,food good,staff friendly and helpful,bright and clean hotel.
Being an older hotel some of the rooms needed a little tlc and no ladies toilets on the ground floor by the evening entertainment .

cheerful efficient check in with three separate bookings handled with consummate ease. modern bedroom with bath tub (yippee) updated double glazed windows and heavy blackout curtains. comfy bed but no room servicing on any of three days residency although nilk, coffee & tea readily available at reception. good quality breakfast with lots of choice including pains au chocolate and croissants, bacon and scrumptious sausages - a thoroughly enjoyable stay. In truth the exterior of the building needs attention but internally it was in reasonable condition

The location is excellent and having the car park adjacent makes the stay easy.
The staff are also always friendly and helpful The hotel rooms are in need of updating.Various stains on the carpet and walls.
The shower/surround is in need of a deep clean.
Toilet seat was also broken.
Bathrooms really let these rooms down.
Windows also need cleaning, mending and re painting.
