The Burlington Hotel is a grade listed building. The staff that I interacted with were very welcoming and very helpful. Really appreciated the staff, even the maintenance guys, room attendants in the hallway were friendly. The ballroom, dining room and bar looked well presented and spacious.

I had several opportunities of riding in an elevator basically built for one with luggage or two people without luggage. It was one of the most interesting and coolest thing I've ever seen.

There's character and charm at The Burlington Hotel that has history. I would love to see the establishment improve in areas of the hotel to keep this iconic hotel thriving.

While the room was clean, there were areas where there was dust on the nightstand, fan and other areas.

Would I stay again? Probably, if the room was right and improvements were made as above.

Entertainment very good
breakfast adequate but not much choice. No fried eggs only scrambled no porridge
superior room with toilet seat cover on the floor ! Dusty
Meal in evening definitely not worth the money. Food was asked for in the bar not available. Not at all hotel's fault but fire alarm went off twice in the night.

Excellent value for money, perfect location & super staff. Breakfast was good too. Polite, friendly staff, who couldn't do enough for you. Especially chap on reception the eve of1/7/23 & Loui our waiter. Room was huge. Bedding & towels brand new.
Excellent breakfast & location was perfect.
General state of the building is tired & in need of repair.

So - dont be fooled by the images on website - 1978 America called and asked for my room back, It was tiny, dated, hotter than the actual sun, no plug sockets next to bed, toilet at an odd angle in the bathroom, dirty behind furniture where its obviously not been moved for cleaning. The most complicated tap system for the shower I have ever come across ! The bed was small ( it was a double room) and had a thin mattress. BUT that said the sheets where clean, the room was generally clean ( the doors bang like crazy ! ) and the service was actually wonderful.. almost like they all know the hotel is dated and needs a good clean and a coat of paint so they are overally wonderful - from check in at reception to bar and waiting staff, honestly I would have just left if they werent so nice ! Only took one picture it seems

Hotel very tired but staff made up for it James at reception was excellent and an asset to the hotel. His friendly, patient and professional attitude was much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble.
Tom in the bar also had good customer skills as did the security guard.. 😀
Sara was a bit robotic on check in the next evening. (My friend joined me and booked a twin room in her name)
Single room was fine, however, the bed frame needs some attention

Everything Good. Staff friendly and efficient.
Great location on the seafront. Near to Devonshire Park as we were there for the Tennis. Great restaurants near by.
Bonus.Hotel had its own car park.
Nothing. Everything was good.

I love the location, when you come out of the hotel your right across from the sea! Which as a keen outdoors swimmer it's a wonderful treat! Also it's a right around the corner from many nice restaurants and shopping in the town centre. The staff at the hotel are lovely. Anything I asked for they were happy to help with. Comfy bed and also nice breakfast. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but the street homeless set a bin on fire outside in the alleyway. I was on the 4th floor but still the toxic smoke came up into my window and hotel room. The fire department came and it took them ages to put the fire out. I had to close the window and didn't sleep well that night. I appreciate there's a lot of poverty and people have problems. But, it's a shame when they put their problems on others who are on a much needed break.

Location. The bedroom was very spacious with wonderful sea views and had been refurbished but the ensuite bathroom had not. That we could get snacks in the bar during the day and the cost of them. No fried eggs or mushrooms for breakfast. The ensuite bathroom was in desperate need of refurbishment especially the washbasin which was badly stained in the soap recess. The weeds growing outside the bedroom windows.

Lovely Victorian building with best views of the pier and the sea . Friendly staff and very good breakfast . The room was very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the view was stunning . The bar is reasonable and we throughly enjoyed the entertainment . It’s a very friendly place and we have visited three times . It’s a very traditional British hotel .

On site parking, having a sea view. The bar staff were excellent and friendly. The bed was extra comfy. But found the £10 per person for breakfast did not reflect the quality.

Perfectly adequate for a one night stay on a walking holiday but nothing special. Good view from sea facing room - noise until late evening, then quiet until breakfast time. Good location close to the pier and easy walking to most places in Eastbourne. Our friends did not book a sea facing room. They said their view was of pigeons! So definitely book the sea facing room as long as you are not bothered by some noise until late evening. Bed adequate but quite hard. Shower over bath (with fixed screen) had a mechanism I have never seen before. Instructions would have helped - best I managed was hot water from shower and cold water from tap - probably if I had more time to try out different combinations of controls I would have got it right.
