This used to be a lovely hotel but over the years maintenance has been rather lacking . I only had a single room but it was very 'tired' and in need of updating

Short break the hotel is opposite the pier so is very central. The staff were very helpful . The person in the room above me stomped up and down all one night, so I did not get any sleep. Luckily they left the next day. They stopped serving food in the bar, which had been useful if the weather was wet.

A nice stay Nice receptionists, excellent location opposite the pier, onsite bar, big rooms, clean hotel, carpark opposite hotel. Room very hot even with fan- one small window that opened a few inches. Breakfast was low quality.

I think the staff were really friendly. The staff were very friendly, especially Louie in the dining room. Also the staff in reception. The hotel was situated in a good location for beach, and shops. I think the lifts could do with a upgrade. The room wasn’t cleaned properly.Dust on skirting boards, also behind the radiator.

Needs modernising Location was superb and the added bonus of a car park . The hotel was very dated . Hallways and communal areas very tired .. The bathroom was very mouldy and bathroom suite had seen better days ....shame prime location but a very run down hotel ..

A great choice for a seaside break with excellent staff The Burlington is a clean and friendly hotel with a variety of room to suit people with different budgets. There is an element of ‘faded seaside’ to the building and decor but this did not detract from our stay and is in keeping with the ambience of Eastbourne itself. A good bar for both soft and stronger drinks and a nice breakfast (we didn’t eat dinner at the hotel on this occasion). The staff are the stand out plus of the hotel - nothing is too much trouble and they are very friendly with it. The only improvement I would like is to have a fridge in the bedrooms. It was warm when we were there and to have somewhere to keep drinks and food cold would be great.

Met up for bank hol drinks with friends who were staying there. Great atmosphere and nice big public areas with high ceilings.
A guy called Andrew was singing - so good, and worked so hard on a hot night! He had a great voice, making for a fun night for our very mixed age group.
Our mates said their room was nice so we will all stay next time! A really great night.

We stay at the hotel for one night. Room are very specious and clean. Comfortable bed. We enjoy our stay. For the money we pay we couldn’t ask for more. Perfect location! Definitely would recommend and be back one day.

Ok for overnight but no longer. Grand old hotel but has been left to age too long. Old age and state of bathroom en-suite.

Sea side sisters Staff were friendly and really helpful. Buffet breakfast was decent and had free-from options available. Bed was comfy. Location just by the pier. Car park was advertised but couldn't find how to get in, multi storey NCP a block away for a similar rate, though.
Some tired decor, but added to the charm of the old building. Bar closed at 11pm on Friday night.

My visit to Eastbourne was to see my partner’s cousin and my stay was comfortable. Got to admit hotel is really tired looking but I felt comfortable staying. Leaking taps.

It was the perfect location, just what we wanted, and it was clean and comfortable 🙂 The location was perfect, as we needed to stay close to the Pier. Everything was great,

The staff at the hotel were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, we were away on a hen weekend, and they went above and beyond to ensure the bride to be and the rest of the group had a great time. Everything was fab

Perfect location right on the seafront. I understand it is undergoing some much needed refurbishment. The staff were great, especially the young lad at breakfast, taking time to chat to everyone and taking special care of the elderly diners. Also the blonde lady running bar, nothing was too much trouble for her. The singer, Mike was fantastic, what a talent, although I felt exhausted as he belted out song after song for 2.5 hours, barely drawing breath or giving us a chance to clap. Breakfast was nice, hot fresh and plentiful, as was lunch, we didn't have an evening meal. The room was definitely tired as was the corridor and stairwell, and for some reason I always find this hotel so hot!? But it was reasonably clean, nice pillows and towels, plenty of hot water and tea and coffee making facilities (no biscuits) housekeeping were polite and helpful. For what we paid for our 2 nights stay I have no complaints at all. We love eastbourne and come all the time, when money is tight or it's a very last minute thing then we will return to The Burrington as you always know exactly what you are going to get and it's always good value

The staff here went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home which was much appreciated. I’m in hotels most weeks and whilst the building itself could do with some love it’s a historic gem and the staff work super hard and are friendly, efficient and helpful. I had a brilliant night sleep and would definitely book again. It’s not the snazziest of hotels but it feels like home!

Comfortable for a one night sleep. Bed was comfortable, good shower Room was very tired, smelt very musty which may be lack of use or the rotting windows. Lacked cleaning of room surfaces, particularly around the shower base. Black not treated. Would be easy to resolve and keep up.

We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. We can get an upgrade most times when we arrive. Super breakfast. Everything you could w It’s always clean. So close to town and the theatre. Car park a must. The staff are so very friendly. They greet us by name as always stay here. If there is an issue it is dealt with quickly and easily. It’s an old hotel but very comfortable and we love it 🥰
