Overall the ease of the check in, the evening entertainment with Andrew, location was ideal for our visit.
The bar staff was fun, enjoyable and welcoming.
The reception member of staff on check out was pleasant and bubbly attitude.
Under the bed could be checked
The shower grout to be given new life
Maybe some obstruction to try to keep pigeons away from sitting outside on windowsills

Disappointed Breakfast, the staff where quick to help We were given a room that smelt so strong of detmold that it gave us both a headache, I had to ask for a room change to 308 and there was blood on the carpet as soon as you went in. This was 1am and we just avoided that area because we were both extremely tired by then.

I would never normally have gone to an old fashioned sea side hotel but my daughter was on a camp in the South Downs and given it’s her first time without me I wanted to be nearby just in case.
Okay, yes there are decorative upgrades that need doing but honestly once you see that beautiful view from the window you won’t be looking anywhere else!
I was very well looked after, the staff are phenomenal! As a disabled person away solo for the first time it was an experience I will never forget.
To all the team - Thankyou for going above and beyond to make my stay a really special memory

Our room was clean and spacious, the staff & breakfast were all very good but the communal areas & external areas need decorating / refurbishment.

Attentive polite staff, great location and I felt safe Very central hotel and met requirements plus it was a very good rate Some places in hotel, eg carpets getting rather tired but it’s such a huge hotel so can totally understand why this is the case, I got a very good rate anyway so no complaints

We are quite satisfied with our stay. A room is spacious which is great. Communication with staff - excellent. It was live music on Friday and Saturday evenings in the hall. Excellent location, at the seaside. It was a possibility to leave luggage for a couple of hours after check out which was extremely helpful. Windows and frames inside and outside are dirty.

Price and sea view and coffee capsules The hotel seemed in need of an update, would like to be able to fully open windows, have blinds in the bathroom and also to have clean windows.

Very good value for money It’s very clean and actually quite modern considering the age of the hotel. The staff were so lovely especially the two bar ladies. And check in and out was simple. At a niggle the curtains were hanging on by 3/4 clips on their than that it was all good.

Well located in Eastbourne but very tired. Room itself (Superior, sea view) was spacious and reasonably new. Some plaster peeling on ceiling. Bathroom was OK, enough flow in shower.
Breakfast was buffet style, much as expected.
Car parking is £6/ day, didn't pick this up when Web booking. Access via closed 1-way Street, which could have been advised before arrival.
Never 100% sure the lifts would actually make the intended journey - but they did 😀
Overall, hotel is very tired, and needs investment. Guess this is reflected by the price point, just be aware.
