Ok but hotel needs updating Breakfast, location and sea view. Worn carpets, no opening windows, sink slow to drain ( had to clear plug partially blocked by hair)

Relaxing stay in Eastbourne. It's an old hotel opposite the pier. If you don’t get into the hotel carpark, parking can be a problem. 10 minute walk from the shops. The breakfast was OK, however quality of the breakfast needs to improve. Had a massive room overlooking the sea and late at night earlier morning its very relaxing listening to the sea. Would return. Would liked to have stayed in its hayday. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast quality, old lifts and restricted parking.

Friendly staff. Nice room and very good value Right on the seafront. Bedroom looked out over the sea. The building itself is very grand The room was too warm and there seemed no way to control the temperature

I liked the spaciousness and ambiance of yester-year. The dining facilities were well presented with a good choice of food, especially at breakfast. My bedroom and ensuite were pleasant and a good size - not sure of my bed though!

The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne leaves much to be desired. While the staff are generally pleasant, there is an evident shortage of personnel, particularly in the breakfast room, which can lead to delays and an overall rushed experience.

The most significant issue, however, is the hotel's condition. It feels extremely dated, reminiscent of a bygone era, and is in desperate need of a complete renovation. The outdated decor, worn-out furnishings, and lack of modern amenities make for an uncomfortable stay.

Overall, unless major renovations are undertaken, it's best to avoid this hotel.

Excellent stay with helpful and friendly staff at all times Very good wide choice for breakfast. Good sea view from room. Having a bar menu available all day was very convenient. The only complaint was that our room was not serviced properly on one morning.

Great dog friendly hotel This is a great dog friendly hotel. This is the second time we have stayed in Eastborne and the first time in this hotel. The rooms were clean and staff were very helpful and informative. Other guests were also very lovely providing our two dogs with extra strokes as they walked down the corridor on the way for their walk on the beech. Parking is tricky in Eastborne, but this is not the fault of the hotel - however the location is near enough to paid parking which is much better than driving around trying to find a space that is just for permits.

We enjoyed it overall and the only issue we had was that we couldn't use the TV throughout our stay and it was showing some connection error. We cant use the TV during our stay

A good break by the sea. Lovely location, big room, clean bedding, friendly staff, lovely sea and pier view, high ceilings. Evening meal could have been better, there were far more beans than meat in the chilli con carne, noise during night outside (not hotels fault), water leaking from shower onto floor with no seal to keep it in, windows in poor state in bathroom ensuite. Drinks expensive.
