Lift problems
Location and clean
Lift not working for whole stay, it was not working when we stayed in spring either. Service lift working but small, when it did reach 4th floor people in it wanting to go to ground floor. Ended up taking luggage down stairs.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Parking available at £6 per night.Had breakfast on each day of our stay which was fine and plentiful. Tiny lift which was just big enough for 2 adults. Was out of order for part of our stay. The adjacent lift was not working at all during our 3 night stay.
We had the superior double with sea view. Room was tired and didn’t feel clean. Bathroom used to have a bath but was permanently covered over so made do with small cubicle shower which was fine. Such a great position but very tired looking after years of underinvestment.

Service was great, friendly at reception at check in and check out, booked us a taxi no issues.
Very dated hotel which while had character felt a little run down. Window ledge was rotting wood. Water pressure in our room was very weak so not a great shower then on day 2 shower didnt work at all. Tried to run a bath but water only trickled out so bath didnt fill up in time.

The main lift was out of order and our room needed updating also the windows definitely need replacing as soon as possible and our room wasn’t replenished on the second day unfortunately ! Seems like a few negatives but we love this old hotel and always return

Staff were very helpful, and welcoming, right outside the pier and beach. Bar well equipped with lots of lovely drinks, Breakfast was lovely,
⁹cleansing needs to be more thorough, beds and pillows were to firm. And lift out of order, they had a little lift.

Lovely friendly staff, excellent location facing the beach, lovely breakfast which also provided gluten free and dairy free options. Comfy bed, shower fine.
No plugs by the bedside, only one bedside table. Also, we were directly over the pub, which meant that when the pub had loud music it was unbearable inside that particular room. Customers should be made aware that that room is directly above the pub.

what a location right by the pier. we had a sea view. Large bedrooms as in all Victorian hotels. Large car park at rear and we had no trouble over the 3 nights.The main street ,which has no traffic, with loads of restaurants and shops is next to the hotel. Bar was OK with reasonable selection of lagers and beer approx £5 a pint. Did not eat there so can`t comment. 2 lifts for 4 floors. We had a superior room which had a re furbished bathroom
As an old Victorian hotel, it needs money spent on it. This however is reflected in the price

The property is in a great location. The fact that staff placed a fan in our room was a great touch. The bed is very comfortable.
It is a little outdated but was great quality considering the price we paid. Of course the place could do with a spruce up, I was hesitant at using the shower but In actual fact it was very good.

Food and staff excellent, entertainment also. However, we do know that the hotel is very run down and in need of major work. the room was not particularly clean, windows, bathroom, toilet etc.
