Great location Great location. Room 231 - bed was comfortable, room was clean.
Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast for 10 was really nice. Plenty of choice.
There was a big TV, fan, kettle, and what else you may need?
Saturday night - live music downstairs.
Small bathroom. The hotel is old and in need of refurbishment. Small lift ( max for 2 people)

Great location, lovely staff. Location was good. Breakfast was really good and very reasonable price. One of our group couldn’t come (serious injury three days before) hotel wouldn’t let us reschedule that room for a later date. I thought that was unreasonable.
Building needs a little TLC. Frontage a bit shabby.

Room was clean, a little tired but it’s an old hotel.
The staff were great and the breakfast is outstanding together with dinner.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the Hotel was lovely and clean. The view is really good from the front of the hotel. We would definitely stay again. The building is getting a little tired and needs a really good renovation! Which would make it amazing.

Budget hotel with outstanding breakfast For the money this hotel offered a very good package. Evening meal was good no frills. Breakfast was one of the best. The hotel is old and in need of refurbishment, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. The lift was too small and old we used the stairs.

I would like to visit again and stay in a similar single room. It was lovely waking up to the sound I did not have the breakfast as my friend was meeting me to attend the tennis and always has lots and lots of food with her. The location, opposite the pier was perfect indeed. Upon arrival the toilet system was making a loud noise as I entered the room. It was obviously needing serious attention.

I went straight downstairs to request a different room. Luckily I was early, so my single roon could be swapped.

Staying in this hotel is like visiting an elderly aunt who has fallen on hard times. The whole building has a feeling of decayed grandeur. With appropriate renovation it could rise again. There is a general air of tiredness about the building, the only two lifts really are tiny and one has been out of order for weeks. There is much repair work needed on the facade. There is no housekeeping service in the bedrooms, euphemistically termed their "Do not disturb policy", and after a week then state of one's room leaves something to be desired
Having said all this, there are many good things to report as well. The staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent. The three course dinners are good value but perhaps owe more to substance than elegance. We had a clean spacious bedroom looking out to sea. It was well decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom fittings had been updated too.
After some initial doubts we rather took to the place and would stay there again, but it's not for the fastidious

The staff were wonderful, the bar was great and we really enjoyed watching the England match - it had a lot of spirit an Very close to the main high street, pier and beach. The staff were amazing and so helpful and polite. Our room was nice and roomy. One of the lifts was out of service which left only one which was tiny. The hotel is quite run down and really needs a lot of TLC on the outside.

Not a bad place to stay for a few days, does have its good points. The hotel is on the sea front, & the staff were pleasantly polite. The room is very spacious. Breakfast was good, dining room was nicely laid out. Wasn’t keen on the do not disturb policy. Had to ask for clean towels, & toilet roll. No hot running water from the bathroom sink. Lift was very small, & only one was working.

Good budget hotel that will surprise you When you pull up outside it looks a bit shabby but cross the threshold and you find a hidden jewel Staff welcome excellent and whole inside areas restaurant bars etc beautiful Room although slightly faded was clean and well appointed Value for money excellent We had a lovely stay thank you Only one problem which people of our age demographic and the size of the hotel caused traffic jams and that was one of the two lifts was out of action

Location and view from our room fantastic. On checking in we were not informed by reception that if we wanted our room served that we had to ask !!!!!!No disabled toilet facility on ground floor and only one lift working which was very inconvenient in busy times. I had to access my mobilty scooter through Dining room to get out of the Hotel. Not nice for myself or the Diners .Rooms very spacious but tired. We were moved from original room on 1st floor as shower did not work and the bath did not have grab bars.
The staff in general were lovely polite helpful and do the best for holiday makers in a very dated Hotel. We were told by member of staff that there are plans for refurbishment and we would consider trying this hotel again if improvements are made for disabled cliental

We liked the food drinks and entertainment.
We did not like the outside of the hotel. Sludge on windows. Weeds every where. Narrow area along the front of the hotel was filthy needed a hose pipe on it. Needs painting every outside.

The room was very comfortable, clean and had a lovely view of the seafront One of the two lifts was out of order (which always seems to be the case) so there was always a long wait for the remaining lift

Overall would return. Amazing room size and with a sea view. For the money I think it’s fair. Not a 5 star hotel but definitely will be back there. Amazing location!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The overall building is quite old, the windows can be looked after a bit more.

Great location Friendly receptionist. Lovely location with parking Tiny lift, one not working. Very hot with only fans for comfort. The bathroom could do with a good clean to get rid of the mould

Not suitable for those with disabilities. Location As many reviewers have highlighted the lift was out of order and it seems this is a regular ongoing occurrence. Guests expectations would rightly be that a service engineer would fix the problem within 24 hours. Difficult situation when there are guests with mobility problems who cannot use the stairs. Immediate attention is needed for this.

No ladies toilets or disabled toilet available on the ground floor. Only gents toilet available on the ground floor. Therefore, disabled females have to use the gents toilets. This is not good.
