First time that I have ever been to a speedway meeting. Took my father for his 75th birthday. Sat in the upstairs grandstand, in the dry, with great views over the whole of the track. Bar directly behind us for alcoholic refreshments as required. A local regular helped me understand the scoring system and how the whole process works. By the end of the night, I imagine I will be hooked, as now just past half way through the program and thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Went to watch banger racing here and what a great venue it is. Cheesy chips are great. Nice cold pint from the bar onsite. Plenty of options at the fast food points around. Cheap parking. The only thing I would change is the queuing outside to get in. There was at least 4 queues and none if these where clear as to what they where. Once we got to the pay desk it was clear that one of these was card and cash. One was cash only. One couldnt fit buggy wheelchair etc so those people then had to come out of line and get back onto another queue and start again. Very boring. Need more signage and maybe a steward on the gates outside helping those confused about what queues to get in.
