Good value for money in good location. Basic but very clean.
Nice location, easy to find. Basic but good facilities. Clean, shower was good, towels and soaps provided. Staff friendly and informative.
Feels very basic but as it’s not expensive not the worst thing. Communal area not very welcoming, but we didn’t need it.

Friendly staff..lovely traditional hotel, room overlooking pier . Great position for visiting Eastbourne. Clean room. Would definitely visit again.

Is a good value for money, the bed was big.. no fancy mattress or pillows but comfortable enough. Everything was clean expect for a hair in the sheets. TV and kettle with coffe and tea were available

Warm and cozy room. Our stay was during the cold spring days, so we appreciated the radiator worked well and could be set to any level of heating required.

Great hotel for the price
Very close to town and beach. Nice large comfortable room. Good room service we had a knock on the door after the first night to see if we needed more toilet rolls or tea and coffee e.t.c. check in was easy and getting the parking permits.

Older but better and right at the pier
I liked that the beds and pillows are comfortable, The location is right at the pier with a view of the ocean from bay windows. The shower is excellent. The style of the hotel and room are vintage in good way. Close to beach and restaurants. 15 minute walk from train station. Good TV channels, also kettle with tea and coffee.
As represented, the Wi-Fi was only in the lobby..

Pleasant weekend break at a good price.
Really well situated hotel, very close to the town centre and the beach. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the room was functional, with a TV and kettle. For the price point, the value is good.
The pressure in the shower was fairly weak, so a longer-than-usual shower was necessary, and no bath mat or hand towel were provided, just a single towel. The decor is a little tired and shabby overall - worn carpets, faded soft furnishings, and the walls are quite thin, so if you're a light sleeper pack earplugs. No wifi in the rooms wasn't a problem for me, but guests with a less robust data plan might find it challenging, so would want to make arrangements to mitigate it.

All round welcoming hotel, ideal for 0ne or two nights stay. Just the bed was very uncomfortable and we have back pain unless we have a comfortable bed.

Just spent three very pleasant nights at the Afton hotel, the room was spacious and clean, the people were nice and very helpful - it's situated in a very good position directly opposite the pier and yet is very quiet at night, we slept well. We'll definitely stay again next time we're in the area.

Stayed a few times, short notice trip this week & walked in hoping the could fit us in, very accommodating & gave us a room for 2 nights.
