Got an excellent last minute deal at the Afton Hotel, adjacent to the pier and 2 minutes from the main shopping area. Single room 202 clean, comfortable and all staff very friendly. The only suggestion is to take ear plugs as walls are thin and floors creaky. No hesitation in returning

Stayed here for 2 nights on business in a single room for £20 per night.
Really friendly welcome, clean ensuite room & comfy bed. Room small, but what do you expect for that price. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the meals.

Stayed here last Monday & Tuesday, while visiting family in area. Great Location, such friendly helpful staff, & very clean room. Great beds & lovely white bedlinen. Couldn't ask for more, & such a great price. Stayed with my 92 year old father, so having a lift in hotel was a bonus. Would certainly stay here again. Keep up the good work Afton Hotel :)

WE just returned from a short break in Eastbourne , The Afton Hotel was so close to everything ,The Pier the town the seafront , The manager was really helpful ,The breakfast was great too , nothing was too much trouble for the staff , We missed the entertainment in the evening but will next time .

We stayed at the Afton hotel as a group for a long weekend. The staff were very friendly & we couldn't fault our room or the food. The entertainment was good on the Friday night, but sadly not quite so good on Saturday. However, that wouldn't stop me staying there again.

Myself and my fiancee are down for my birthday weekend. Really good deal for 2 nights last minute. Very clean, rooms are small but fine for what we needed. Only annoyance we couldnt connect to the free wifi we were 'out of range' other then that a perfectly adequate hotel for a weekend stay

Stayed in Jan. 60/70s weekend with Edwards coaches, did not expect much but well surprised, although hotel is dated everything is clean and cared for, staff really friendly and helpful, food is excellent, location superb near pier and beach. I would well recommend a stay here and hope shortly to return.

Stayed here for a weekend break, There are great offers on at this time of year. The price for half board accommodation was very good.
Facilities in the hotel are fine. Clean bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and good shower facilities, Both the bar and restaurant areas are spacious with plenty of seating.
All the staff we met were friendly and courteous.
We went with a coach party so the menu was limited in choice but for what we paid it was acceptable.
The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the pier and the beach. You can walk to Beachy Head from the hotel easily if you are walking fit and can manage the up hill climb. Enjoyable walk and a great pub at the top.

What a fab weekend in this really nice hotel. On arrival was met with a smile and promptly handed our key to the room.
The room was warm, spacious and very clean. Nice big bed with lovely white cotton sheets. Good size white towels were also provided as well as tea and coffee facility.
The staff were friendly and willing to help at all times.
The hotel provided entertainment on the two nights and we were able to enjoy dancing the night away. The food was very good and plenty of it.
All in all a fab weekend, enjoyed by all. Thank you Afton hotel

We have spent a lovely time in Eastbourne staying at the Afton Hotel, myself and my husband would definitely recommend this hotel. Our room was very nice and we had a lovely view of the sea from the room. The food was nice and the staff where very helpful and friendly.dated June 1916

Great place and great location. It's very close to the pier and corner shops or restaurant and pubs. Room was clean and big providing enough space for 2 of us. The only negative is the Internet which wasn't available in the room. The password was provided but not the network.

Perfect location and great little 2 star hotel. Very friendly staff with a well stocked bar. Rooms are what you expect from a 2 star seaside hotel in Eastbourne. I would definitely go back there.

Very warm welcome awaits at this hotel, very well presented almost on the seafront by the pier. Well decorated with plenty of room in the bar and lounges. Large dancefloor with entertainment each night of quite good quality. Drinks prices are reasonable for the area from the large stocked bar. Room are nice and clean with some having sea views and a lift serves all floors. Meals are to a good standard however i sometimes felt there could have been a little more. all in all a good hotel though. i will be returning there

In need of a venue for a charity event, I approached The Afton Hotel. From the first email to the last drink of the evening, nothing was too much trouble.
Fiona and Jason"s hospitality, organisation and expertise enabled us to have the most amazing night!
The food for 100 people was beautiful, tasty and hot! No mean feat for that number!
Thank you all for making our fundraiser a true success in every way.

I recently visited Eastbourne and stayed at the Afton Hotel. The hotel was clean, the bedroom was clean. The food was not that good what choices you had. It was not disabled friendly and the staff were not very friendly.

we had a great weekend with the dancemore group. We have always been made to feel welcome by the the staff. The rooms and food are always of a high standard. The hotel is in a great location for the seafront and the shops. If you like dancing give their floor a try its a good size and shape. Already booked to go back.
