Better than expected for the price I paid.
I left just after 7am to catch a bus ie before breakfast started at 8 am.
There’s ?menu board outside in ?Carvendish Road that has been vandalised. Something needs to be done either repair it or take it away ?
There obviously a staff shortage because they have an advert for live in staff. However, the rectangular tables that you step down to, the lower shelf on at least one of the shelves looks dusty.

Nice place
Staff super nice, amazing location and view.. close to everything. Super easy. Got the day pass for the car and left parked for 2 days. Walked everywhere. Clean room, big bed. Really happy with my choice.
Unfortunately there's no Internet in the rooms and that can make a big difference.

Had to book after going to another apartment booked through booking.com as a weekend family holiday. We were lucky to get somewhere in the same location and closer to the beach.
The hotel is nice enough, could do with a bit more.of a thorough clean behind things which seemed to be neglected but beds were comfy and rooms were clean enough for a shirt stay amd things were replenished each day which was not expected.
Staff was friendly and approachable
Pool table was in the bar area which was nice Restaurant there but nit available and restaurant was in the basement which smelt a bit old and damp..
The place hadn't been cleaned for a while behind chest of drawers and beds as I pulled things out.
There was a new staff member behind the bar but he was learning so this is tolerated

Friendly staff, good bar and nice location
Adil was really friendly and welcoming, the bar lady was a good laugh and the room was good for the price.
I stayed over because my new property is not quite ready, so decided to find a cheap place to stay for the night after work. This is a very good option and the staff run the place very well. Bed was a bit narrow, shower power wasn’t great, but everything else fine

All of the staff was so friendly and they made my birthday special nothing was too much trouble excellent entertainment and food. Our waitresses amber and Jessica was so lovely I would definitely recommend this hotel you will get a very warm welcome

The heavy soap holder in the shower was loose it came off and caused me a minor injury the shower door didn't close so the floor was wet after a shower which was slippery.

A group of 40 seniors had a lovely holiday at The Afton.
Food was good quality with with fresh veg and home made desserts which was all well cooked.
Rooms clean and adequate.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Weather was great too.

It was near Eastbourne Pier and near the bus stops. The staff were very good and helpful we were able to leave our suitcase and belongings with them whilst we got the bus to get our car to collect our luggage so we could go home. Very polite and friendly people and helpful too.
The parking situation was not ideal. But if you can park elsewhere like in the new town of Eastbourne it would be better. Or if you have no transport there is a great bus service Stagecoach that goes to the train station and all the shops too. Plenty of buses to get you about too, they also seemed pretty regular too.

The staff were amazing, very friendly and accommodating to us. We had access to our room an hour early, upon check in they had many leaflets to see what we could do during our trip. The location was just perfect! Hotel bar was very comfortable and had very good options! Our room was cleaned and our bed was made every day for us. Such good value for money as well we’d definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for our stay we really enjoyed ourselves
