Good food, considering they were catering for such a large number of patrons (work Xmas party night) Service was a bit slow, but understandable given the sheer number of diners. It was rather chilly in the basement function room, but the excellent DJ got everyone dancing which warmed things up a bit.

The staff were attentive and efficient. The room was nice and clean. The beds were made and the towels changed daily. Finally the shower was excellent.

This review is long overdue but I promised a five star review and here it is. Thank you to the Afton Hotel staff for an excellent service even though I caused a hell of an inconvenience back in July! Manager was very lenient and handled the situation professionally. If I need a place to stay again in Eastbourne, I'm heading straight back here to cause more trouble haha.

Rooms were Lovely, bar atmosphere was nice. We don't normally stay in the hotel for a drink etc. but we enjoyed it.

Comfortable welcoming hotel in nice central position opposite the pier. Staff were very nice. Beds clean and comfortable and lots of hot water available

No WiFi... but Location, rooms, equipment, room service really good enough, for this money. But avoid breakfast as it was tragic, service was mixing orders for everybody, and food was bad: burned, cheap. They should cancel breakfast as it spoil impressions.

A lovely old hotel which allows dogs so the whole family can stay.
Right opposite the pier on the sea front. A short walk away from the town which has lots of big name shops. Staff are friendly

Ideally placed for the town centre/seafront/theatres , car parking at £1 per day voucher [ on the street] nice clean rooms with en suite , good english full breakfast with cereals if required , bar available for a drink , the reception /bar lady and the waitress at breakfast were both efficient and pleasant , very good value and will definately book here again when visiting Eastbourne

The hotel is fantastic contractor accommodation. Very good value for money,spotlessly clean and lovely reception and bar staff. The only drawback is limited car parking near by.

I stopped at the afton hotel from 29/10/18-1/11/18 it was excellent in every way staff were friendly polite we felt welcomed as we walked through the door facilities were great bar pool table rooms very clean will be stopping again it was excellent all round thankyou for a great stay

We came to Afton Hotel in February and had a good experience but we came here in April and the second day we had no cleaner come in so we complained but the staff had no customer care or hospitality
