As I posted on our social media pages, I woke up on the right side of the bed today. I feel well rested, energized, and ready to take on the world! WARNING! I might be obnoxiously optimistic and happy in this blog. Save for a later date if you are in the mood for a brood.
I realised on Tuesday night that I am exactly where I need to be. This came to me as I was leaning out a 1st floor window letting the breeze cool the sweat I had worked up from twisting, twirling, and boogieing across the well packed dance floor. I was at the Hideaway Hop, http://www.cambridgelindy.com/classes/the-hideaway-hop/ . By this point I had probably danced with at least 10 different partners, and I hadn’t met any of them before that night. Regardless, we danced as if we had known each other for years. Some were really quite amazing while others were just getting a handle on the basics, but we were all smiling. When I was leaning out the window the bright, brassy music from the Last Chance Ragtime band was still going, and I could see people on the street and in the alley wondering what was going on upstairs. It was a perfect moment. I knew that I was meant to be in England, right now, in this job (not the previous), and at this club.
Speaking of work, I should probably get back to it. I’m pretty sure the boss doesn’t pay me to write whimsical stories of my evenings dancing. Let’s see…. How can I tie in my story with a work promotion? Ah ha! I got it. Our launch of Short Term Call Cover, due to launch tomorrow, came about because life can be unpredictable, such as my current lot in life. Receptionists can call in sick 10 minutes before they are due in, and partners can decide they want an impromptu trip that means you need a longer weekend. That’s where we come in. Short Term Call Cover is focused on helping those that need occasional call answering services. This means you get to keep your divert number, and use it whenever you need it without having to setup a new system. Just turn it on, and we’ll take the call.
As I mentioned in my last blog, the price will be very competitive with what are current prices, but you will have to wait for that until the 26th. I know, you’re just dying to find out. Just keep your pants on. Unless, that is, you are reading this after the 26th, then you can just find it on our twitter https://twitter.com/ukfactotum and you can disregard my last few sentences.
We never know where life will lead us, and we may put up a bit of a fuss along the way when we don’t think it’s the right path because it’s harder or just different than what we are used to. Go with it! See where the white rabbit takes you, and call Factotum to make sure you’re covered while the rabbit leads you around.
P.S. I almost forgot your random factoid: Recycling one glass jar saves enough energy to watch TV for 3 hours. Boom!
