THIS WEEK IN BRIGHTON AND HOVE...


The Brunswick Town Art Fair takes place this Sunday 28th of June and celebrates the work of 50 locally based artists in a gorgeous setting by the sea. Enjoy a summer's day in historic Brunswick Square Gardens and The Regency Town House where you will find a great selection of high quality but affordable paintings, prints, photography, sculpture and cards. If you enjoy cycling, you’ll love Bikestock which is taking place in Stanmer Park on Saturday (11am to 5pm). You’ll be able to hone your bike skills, try out electric bikes and win prizes. It’s free. Find out more on www.facebook.com/BikestockBrighton .

If that’s not enough of a sports fix, Sunday is the Wild Park Youth Festival (12-5pm), which promises activities, music and sport for local youngsters. They will be able to try out more than 20 sports and activities, including archery and climbing. For something more reflective, Saturday is Armed Forces Day. The event starts with at 11am with a parade of veterans and cadets. Alternatively, enjoy a family day out with “Picnic in the Park” in Queens Park on Sunday. There’s everything from Punch and Judy to jazz, an author’s tent and  a bake-off competition.
