There was fantastic news for Barrow this week as the Viking silver coins and artefacts discovered in 2010 will now stay in the town.
Printfest, the UK's only artist led printmaking festival, will be held at The Coronation Hall in Ulverston from Friday 4th - Sunday 6th May. The festival will feature over 40 national and international artists.
Ulverston's much-loved Lantern Festival is under threat on its 30th anniversary and organisers are urging local businesses to support it in whatever way they can.
The Hub Cafe are offering a very warm invitation to budding poets, story tellers and singers (or anyone who wants to come and listen!) to perform at an open mic night starting next month.
