Visited to spend some family time with our 15 year old son to watch a 15 rated film , went to concession stand to purchase tickets, where my 6ft 2" son got asked his age , as 15 year olds don't have I.d and we don't carry passports about we questioned why the person serving refused with no actual reason we asked to speak to the manager who said although it was to his discretion and our son looked his aged he still refused us entry. Having paid parking we left , Even though our son has visited a number of times with his friends and us and never been questioned. Disgusted and unhappy. I also think as a child is with their parents it should be the parents choice

We visited The Light on a Wednesday evening it was our first visit and we were impressed it is a comfortable and modern cinema. We watched The Joker which was fantastic and we look forward to returning to watch another film soon.

I'd heard good things about this cinema so I decided to pay it a visit. If I had to describe it in one word, I'd say it's 'quirky'.

The food options around the cinema are more than adequate, which explains the paid parking, but it does not explain why the cinema does not reimburse the parking!!

Inside The Light Cinema is a cosy bar with tables and sofas, a great way spend a little time before or after the movie.

The screens are adequate and the seats are relatively wide with good legroom in comparison to other cinemas. No recline on the seats but drink holders and a small shelf for popcorn and snacks.

One thing I found quite worrying was the printed paper on the screen doors warning people to behave during the movie, and the 'introduction' to the movie by a live member of staff, which again warned people about behavior and felt a little like a telling off. I'm not really sure what the demographic for this cinema is, but this did put me off a little, but then again, maybe people get too 'happy' in the cosy bar with pre-cinema drinks!

I'm not sure if I'd return, as parking is not only chargeable, but extremely limited and I'm worried I may run into the kind of patrons that I'd been warned about before the movie.

The Light is a nice cinema, but I think it's going to be a Lights out for me in future!!
