My partner and I had lunch (a long one!) here and it was great from start to finish! Service was very good and the food was excellent- It's a bit out of the way but definitely worth using the satnav to find it. We felt unrushed and valued as customers, it's a lovely place to spend a couple hours- beautifully presented too (the food and the pub!)

My Hubbie was tasked with choosing a venue he wanted for his special birthday and he had to book the table - I contacted them privately by email to explain it was his 60th birthday family meal - I asked if they could make him feel special and also could they arrange a birthday cake ( this request by me was made via email, very late evening the night before! - I woke to find a confirmation that they would sort it ) - they also asked if he liked wine, and if yes what was his preference?, white, red or rose...
When we turned up and were shown to our table - the whole area was decorated with ' happy birthday banners', there was a bottle of his favourite red wine and lots of ''confetti stars "!!!- he was so chuffed.
The meal was lovely (starters were amazing!!)' the staff were very attentive throughout and they made the serving of the 'cake' memorable... They lowered the lights, and sang 'Happy Birthday' to my Hubbie Ian as they delivered the cake to the table!!! - thank you Will Hughes!

This places is great after being taken on a 2 hour trek with the dogs the carvery is yummy and so is the eaton mess for pudding but still can't beat the steak they do! Dog friendly so always a winner with us! Keep up the good work guys!!

I had a steak which was cooked right and portions were ok .... Waitress didn't know anything about the menu when quizzed on the meals which is poor as its one of they're main jobs .... Nice place though and worth a visit before it floods again 😂😂😂

Lovely location and high standard of decor, love the stone floor and outside dining area.Very friendly welcome and very prompt service. Food was excellent value for money, good portion sizes and good variety on the menu. Ordered a rare steak, unfortunately it was more like a medium, but very tasty all the same.

I have been to the Allerford Inn twice now, once mid week and once for the carvery. Both times were excellent! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced and there was a good selection of real ales at the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service very good.

Food, service, quality and price were all superb.
Very highly recommend this hidden gem, suggest booking in advance as this WILL become a very popular choice once found by all, and I will pass these comments to all my connections.

We had a great meal here. The menu has lots of choices for both adults and children and there were three empty plates, everyone very happy. The summer chicken and chorizo scotch egg were particularly delicious. The inn is very clean and fresh, only being a year old. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again if local.

We attended a celebration evening last night as the Inn has been open for a year. Great evening - good food and the band were brilliant. The kids enjoyed the bouncy castle and slide. Well done to all the staff.

We recently had a party at this venue which was excellent ( see previous review) so me and my family looked forward to a visit on my birthday. How disappointed we were the food was hardly average and was like preformed not fresh fish and the lovely helpful Ellie was not there . We were so disappointed we after our last visit that we went home and got a sweet there

I have visited the Allerford both for a wedding function and for food/drinks. On both occasions it was excellent. The food is wonderful, real food with quality ingredients. The staff there are very welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The garden area is lovely and we would really like to go back with our children. There are football goals at the back and it is all fenced so no danger of little ones running into the car park or road.

Visited the Allerford for their Sunday carvery with my wife son and 3 year old granddaughter and the service food and atmosphere was perfect, We have eaten here before but this was our first carvery I have nothing but praise from our experience here and would certainly recommend it to everyone if i had a complaint it would be that the waistband on my trousers did not stretch enough to cover my very full belly

Excellent carvery. One of the best locally and good value for money. The kids bottomless refills are a good idea. Glad we booked as it always seems busy on a Sunday.

I have to start by saying I'm not a big carvery fan, but this is what the family wanted to do, so we booked a table of 8. We were in the back room which had no atmosphere and was like a rarely used function room. The range of food was good but a bit bland. I know they have to cater to the masses with a carvery but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I must be in the minority as it seemed busy there.

Wow this place is too good to be called just another pub, it's beautiful inside and out, there's plenty of grass area for children and dogs, trains going past every few mins entertains the kids ( and a few adults).
We visited here on July 16 for a wedding meal, with all our family. The staff were lovely and inviting and couldn't do more for us.
They really treated us with a personal touch and the food was incredible, the meals were huge and so tasty and really filled you up, a lot of us had to cancel dessert as we couldn't find space for it. Those who did have dessert said it was lovely and there toblerone cheesecake is to die for.
If your looking for a warm friendly environment for all the family this is the Defiently the place to go, any time of day this place is perfect.
We can't wait to visit again, Ellie and her team are the best and this place deserves to be visited.

We were fortunate to have this pub recommended to us and it lived uo to all our expectations and more. Firstly we wanted to decorate the room we were allocated and Ellie was so helpful and fell into all we wanted to do. The buffet was enjoyed by everybody and the supply of food was not only excellent but plentyful. Everyone went home pleased they had come and we shall most certainly make this our first port of call when we want to dine out. The staff were wonderful and helpful too. Thank you so much.

We had hoped for a pleasant pub steak dinner but this was very average. The pub is very open plan and lacked atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the beer was well kept. The steak was not up to standard. Wouldn't go again.

We had lunch at The Allerford Inn today with our 17 month old daughter. Very child friendly and welcoming. The food was good and very well cooked. Absolutely massive portions! Apparently the gravy with the steak pie was amazing but my garlic and mushroom sauce ordered with a steak didn't taste of much. The mega burger was huge and really well cooked. The chips were greasy and over cooked but I'm sure we were just unlucky. We will definitely go again as we want to try the carvery.
