This is a great place to wonder around, relax and unwind. The cafe has good food at a reasonable price.

Mooie tuin. Alleen waren wij in maart iets te vroeg hoewel er wel er wel het een en ander te zien was. Ook mooi buiten gebied om heerlijk te wandelen.

Lunch in the Column Restaurant
Thanks to my Brother for a great Christmas present (groupon meal for 2 inc glass of wine)
Only eaten in the Cafe before. This was a wonderful suprise, lovely dining room with views over Taunton to the Blackdown hills.
The quality of food was top notch and beautifullly presented. The chocolate torte (brownie) with caramelised banana ice cream was to die for. I'm not prone to writing reviews but this was exceptional.
It appears the sweet was so good I've added the photo 3 times! sorry.

Always one of our favourite places to go, particularly on a sunny day. Hestercombe offers great flexibility in that you can choose how long or adventurous you want your walk to be, there are many different routes and so many different things to see. Each part of the gardens has its own personality and it's wonderful to see the changing of seasons. A real gem in the Somerset countryside.

My husband and I spent a lovely day at Hestercombe yesterday, weather amazing, but we have to agree with Jon Powell (review one month ago) that the entrance fee is too high at £12.50, with no concessions. We are now retired and feell that £25.00 just to walk around the grounds is too much. There was nothing happening in the house, only one room to view.

Lovely gardens for a walk, nice selection of plants for sale and really enjoyed the art exhibition. Meal in the stable cafe was disappointing. Avoid the mezze bowl.

What a disaster. Too many people poor service no room at the cafe or restaurant. Won't be going again to any "events".
