We booked to meet up with our girls their partners and Grandson. The gardens and waterfall were great to walk around. We then entered the hall and into the beautifully decorated restaurant. The options for the meal were delicious, beautifully served and to sit inside whilst the weather worsened was fantastic. We would highly recommend eating here.

Lovely place to visit, we are going to take a picnic there in the summer with the grandchildren, they loved the open space, was perfect for them to explore.

Went for the late night opening for Christmas. It was free to get in had to pay extra to see santa and work shop. I paid a visit to the gift shop and brought some christmas decorations. The shop was reasonable priced. The food was lovely I had a pigs in blanket pizza and chocolate log and hot chocolate was to die for. The best thing for me and my son was toasting the marshmallows on the fire. There was also a live band and the children were dancing. Really would recommend lovely festive feeling.

A hidden gem! Sympathetically restored gardens with superb views across Somerset countryside. A great range of different events taking place throughout the year. Annual membership available. Dogs welcome, even in The Stables.
Their restaurant, situated in the main House, is excellent with special attention given to presentation & service. Polite, helpful staff, beautifully prepared, delicious food - a special place to go.

Went for the Christmas market. It had a variety of craft stalls, that ranged from food, alcohol to trinkets and art. Had to pay to get in but it was reduced for members. The market was under a large heated tent. Was very cozy

Fabulous at any time if the year, thus garden is particularly beautiful on a sunny autumn day. Plus, the fire brigade have moved out & so the house is now open & the cafe serves a pretty decent cream tea for under £10, whilst temporary exhibitions occupy much of the rest of the house.

A delight to walk through the restored 18 century landscape gardens and the Edwardian formal gardens designed by Sir Edward Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll in the early 20th century. Well worth a visit

Stunning venue. Considered it for a wedding venue but it is a bit too sprawling. Amazing buildings. Good parking and pleasant staff etc.

Went here with a friend and her 8yr old as well as my own. We did the Halloween trail and let the kids run off loads of energy. Loads of pathways and different areas to walk. The weather was a bit miserable but I’d like to return on a nice day with a full picnic and just wander around and let the children explore like kids should. Lots of stop off places on route to sit and look at the views. The car park was full but it didn’t seem too busy in the gardens as it’s so big. The cafe is an added bonus

To be fair we were only passing and decided to stop for a quick bite of lunch and look at the plants for sale, glad we did. We sat outside under an interesting glass partition roof covering the courtyard, and had a nice lunch at a fair price served by friendly staff. We had to order at the counter and there was a good choice even for restricted diets. The toilets we clean and the courtyard was a good place to people watch. The plants were a fair price and the shop staff were friendly.
