Much bigger than last year. A bit of Christmas music would have given a more of a seasonal feel. Clever lighting especially at the waterfalls. Well done.

Lovely garden even in winter and formal gardens were very striking.

We visited for Father Christmas which was well organised and prompt. Last year you could wander round the lit gardens with the kids going for free if you paid for two adult tickets. They didn't have this offer this year and we didn't think the price was fair for the children so we didn't bother. We will also find a different Father Christmas to visit next year so future revenue lost too. Short sighted revenue grabbing IMHO

Went to the Christmas display at the beginning of December, really nice walk around. Only a couple of things I'd say, first is it would be so much better if there was music as you walked around and secondly its a tad expensive for what you get. It was £25 for 2 people and took 30mins to walk around. Definitely worth doing though as it is beautiful.

Lovely walks. Paths are hardcore in places and not easy for strollers or mobility scooters. Lots of shady places to stay out of the sun. Water falls and ponds add great scenery. The house had good bones but nothing in it. Art gallery disappointing. Formal garden area was pretty. There is a rustic charm about the place. Coffee shop cakes were delightful. Proper coffee served. Plant centre small enough to miss entirely, nice selection. Staff friendly.

Just rejoined Hestercombe House. Had a stroll around this morning. Dogs allowed in gardens on leads. I thought not in cafe but this morning there was a dog in there.
