I contacted Howden health in relation to private health insurance for my family. My advisor was Shane dyer, he took the time to search for a policy that met all my specified wishes and really explained the pros and cons and answered all my questions to the point I was happy to proceed with taking out a policy. The advisor Shane was friendly, more than helpful having rung me back at a time more suitable to discuss things more thoroughly. I felt fully informed and came away feeling I have secured peace of mind for me and my family should we ever need to seek medical care.

I am happy to shop around now for insurance the girl i spoke with was very good and helpful , she listened to my needs and came back the next day with a fair quote. I do not expect to make any sort of claim or have not over many years so i have no idea how good the cover really is until such a time that you have to make a claim.

I went back to A1 (Howden) this year to see if they could offer a better price than the renewal offers of the alternative company I used last year which I went to after being given very disappointing renewal prices on the 3 policies up for renewal in 2023. Hopefully when the other 2 policies are due Howdens quotes will be more competitive.

I contacted this company for a quote on motor insurance and, having said they would get back to me, I didn't hear from them again. I contacted them a couple of days later and subsequently took out a policy with them. I expected to get a "thank you for placing business with us" email, together with an instant receipt for my payment (as most other insurers would do) but heard nothing until I contacted them the following day to chase it up. I just hope I don't actually need to make a claim, as I don't have too much confidence in them!

I am new to Howden’s. I needed to renew my car insurance and I can only praise the service I received. I not only a got a good renewal, it was similar in price to last years! The lady dealing with me was called Marsha Hall and Marsha could not have been more helpful and friendly. Everything was clearly explained to me and at no time did I feel hurried.
