I started using Howdens Chelmsford for commercial purposes because I wanted someone more knowledgeable than me to go through the technical requirements and price options to make sure I am fully covered. I have probably been using them for 4 years now. I like the fact that I can go talk 1-1 to a real person if I want to. I have also used Howdens for some private / domestic purposes where the requirements are a bit challenging for the same reason. Compared to an online service, I find the little extra I might be paying good value for the peace of mind it gives me.

The insurance renewal was due on my letting house so I went to my local Howden’s office in Abingdon. As at the present the property is untenanted this wasn’t simple as I’d expected..David Warren took on the tasks and spent I fear the whole afternoon trying to find the most suitable company for me after having fully explained the precise cover that was needed and explained the options I had once the property was tenanted again. Without his help and advice I fear I could have got myself into quite a pickle.
