Catherine Smith was most helpful and friendly, it made the experience of organising house insurance relatively painless! I usually approach such events with a sinking feeling, that I would be a very long time speaking to a robotic sort of person but this was completely different. The bonus was that the premium was less than last year too. I will continue to use them and possibly for my next car insurance renewal which is with another company.

After many years of searching the U.K.for a professional, friendly and caring commercial insurance provider it turned out the best one was a 10 minute drive from my house.
To be blunt Wendy, Audrey and Penny (the star of the show) are nothing short of amazing. Although ownership has changed from family run to a large provider the above (to mention but 3) still make you feel valued when taking great care of fine details regarding your requirements & needs, whilst taking into account your plans for the future.
I can at times be a very demanding and sometimes very blunt customer. Once Wendy and the two Audrey's had introduced me to Penny the client welcoming party (she's a dug) I immediately felt calm and and valued.
I honestly cannot recommend the Mount Florida branch highly enough. Penny's appointment is a masterstroke for clients if who like me you suffer from chronic social anxiety.
If I could give 100 stars I would.

N.B. despite suffering from what seemed very obvious discomfort/pain Wendy insisted on my receiving top shelf service and customer care.

From the start of the process to enquire about getting car insurance from Howden, I was impressed by the professional standard of the gentleman taking my details. For me politeness is important. None of this, what should I call you, Bill or William but I was properly addressed as Mr. ( my surname ). When my details had been taken it was explained to me that the computer was making a search for the best policy from their large data base of insurance companies. I was given a quote, which I found acceptable and was offered additional add ons, like breakdown services, if I needed them but at no time did I feel pressured to accept them at an additional cost. Overall a pleasant experience, which I will happily recommend to my family and friends.

Lucy at Howdens was fantastic dealing with both a commercial van policy and home renewal. Overall I've saved over £700 across both renewals with superior cover.
