They listened, acknowledged my need to sort out car insurance before I left the country for 7 weeks, Gave me a preliminary indication of cost before the one month before rule, and when I finally received the existing insurance quote confirmed their proposal and on my confirmation initiated the paperwork enabling me to depart the next day knowing that my other named driver could drive it in my absence. Customer serice was their priority.

My overall experience with Howdens is that Customer Care is very good as the staff are very professional and polite in general.
I personally deal with the Exeter Branch and have chosen to take out car and home insurance; as well as Breakdown cover with them for several years .
My reason is that I find them very efficient and helpful in getting an acceptable quote for renewal and I especially like the fact that I can deal with the same person each year and never having to deal with 'bots' is a real bonus too.

No difference today, renewed with no issues with Kimberley Phillips who was fantastic, got all the information and quote really quick with no issues.

A very positive experience arranging my campervan insurance. The customer service was excellent, it made such a difference speaking to the same person throughout. Jamare was friendly, polite, and professional , he listened to what I wanted, checked everything in detail, nothing was too much trouble. With my thanks to Nicole Hickman - I was buying two new second hand cars over two days, and possibly trading one - or two of my old cars in, but had to set up insurance on the new second hand cars to start only on the day I examined them, transferring my no-claims bonus to the new vehicles, while retaining insurance on the old ones - one of which I managed to trade in, (so then the insurance could be cancelled). To my delight upon a call to your Worcester office and the most helpful personable chat with Karina I was introduced to your extraordinarily helpful team who have now insured all five of my vehicles including TR, classic motor cycle and three Land Rovers under one roof. Wow what a relief from my hitherto previous ‘insurance company’ experiences.

Rescued by Laurie whose patience, knowledge and swift actions resulted in my avoiding a potentially costly mistake of my own making. A slight anomaly with some of the insurers declining to renew my policy actually ended up with a better value policy. And all credit to Laurie for using her patience, lateral thinking, initiative and persistence in finding a solution. I’ve been with Howdens (or A-plan as was) for a number of years. Today’s experience only serves to reinforce why that was such a good decision. Long may it continue!
