My husband's car was insured with this company without any problem. They rang to try and sell him house insurance but when I advised that sadly he died at the end of April a very sympathetic adviser said she would put me through to the motor insurance department as there would be a refund on the policy. She did this but the call was discontinued. Original adviser rang back and again put me through to motor insurance department where I was informed I was due a refund of £75 MINUS A £30 CANCELLATION FEE. Not impressed!!!

Staff extremely helpful and patient as I tend to find clauses that I'm not sure what they mean, but they always take the time to clarify the exact meaning with the company whois supplying the cover to make sure I am happy with the policy. I have a number of policies with them and one in particular is quite a complicated one and they have always given 100% commitment to providing the exact cover I require at very competitive rates.

I renewed my car insurance with Abbie from the MAIDSTONE branch. We then talked about our buildings/contents cover and she found a quote for me with another company - same levels of cover - with a saving of £250 pa. Absolutely fantastic ! She was a lovely girl, very informative and helpful and very professional. I will definitely be recommending A Plan and Abbie !

I insure both my commercial vehicle and a family car.
In general the service has been very good. I have only one incident of an automatic home insurance policy renewal in which I became double insured and out of pocket. I wrote a letter asking for this to be sorted out with a full refund. I did not receive an apology from A-Plan and only partial refund of the amount they took, because of the time that elapsed prior to noticing their error. The customer is always right? Not at A-Plan!
