Have been using them for years. Very easy top deal with over the telephone, no need for the dreaded (by us) internet, and local, so easy to pop in easpecially if there is anything unpleasant to sort out.

Great customer service means talking to real people. I switched from using an online insurance company to using Howden insurance brokers. The difference is amazing - for the same price, I get straight through on the phone (rather than waiting 40 mins on hold), speak to real people and get great advice and help. Recently my car was hit by another driver and Laurie from Howden provided great support, talking me through the process, talking to the other driver's insurance company for me and helping me to get a higher claim settlement than I would have done on my own. She emailed me to keep track of the process and genuinely cared about the outcome.
